"Finley! What are you doing?" Orion called out as he stuck his head into the kitchen. He saw Finley mixing a bowl of pink substance, with another bowl of red doughy mixture.

"Oh, hi there Orion!" smiled Finley. "Just making some cupcakes. Have you decided on a new trip yet?" Orion couldn't help but grin. He knew that a "Trip" had a way bigger, more lethal meaning. "Yeah, just about finished." Orion looked into the bowl of batter. "Did you mix in a bunch of strawberry's inside it? I can't help but think that wouldn't it be a bit too much of an overkill once you add the pink strawberry frosting?"

"Oh, didn't I mention?" Finley turned and continued to smile eerily at Orion. "I found a few friends. They smelled awfully nice, so I'd thought I'd taste them to see if they tasted just as sweet." Orion unknowingly took a few steps back. Although they were still friends and partners in crime, even with the fact that it was Orion who had the best brains of the three, it was times like these where he still couldn't face Finley's eerie smile.

"Welp, I'll just wait till they're done warming up in the oven. Speaking of warming up, I need to check on a new prototype I was doing..." Removing his mittens, Finley walked themselves out of the kitchen, with Orion following behind him.

In the living room, Orion found Pax sitting on the couch, his fingers moving rapidly on the touchscreen of his phone. "Sup." Pax said, not taking his eyes off his phone. "Finley making new recipes again?"

"Yeah, you know how they're like," Orion chuckled. "Always up for new challenges, new things. Coincidentally, I think they're really going to like what they're gonna get after this trip later today."

"Oh yeah?" Pax smirked. His eye that was not covered by his hair glinted as it followed the gunshots from the phone. "What's it gonna be? Atomic machine gun? Bio-chemical gas bomb by the government?"

"Don't get behind yourself, emo boy. Even better." Orion grinned a little maniacally. "The Thousand-Reflections Diamond."

Pax finally looked up from his game, with an interested eyebrow raised. "Going straight to the top, eh?"

Orion laughed. "You know me. The Hanged Man can never pass up a good opportunity to go to the brand new museum exhibition." A hand half-covered his face, fully covering his grin. "Finley's going to be so happy."

A tall slender figure stood at the top of the building. A mask obstructed his face, his suit pressed and neat. A top hat on his head swayed a bit to the wind. As his gloved hands pressed onto a black colored earpiece, he spoke, "Pyro, Inanimate, are you ready?" He heard grunts of approval and an anticipated "Yes!".

"Then let the show begin."

Halfway across the city, far away from where the masked man stood, a thunderous explosion blew. Smoke whirled into the air, the pungent smell of putrid gas spreading like wildfire across the air. Even from where he was standing, Orion caught whiffs of Finley's new concoction of explosions.

"Hahaha! Boom! Boom! BOOM!" On the other side of the city, Finley was feeling joy course through their veins as he ruptured building structures and playgrounds into nothing but scattered debris. "BOOM!" He shot two more fireworks at the road, where civilians could only scream and run in panic to no avail as they blew up together amongst the tar and metal that went flying into the air.

Finley adjusted his goggles. "Alright, I'll have fun right here! Inanimate, go!"

"Hey! I ain't some Pokemon!" Pax growled as he made his way through the vents. Noiselessly, like a panther, he removed a vent grill and placed it aside before jumping into the room.

There it was. Sitting like a prize waiting to be given, sparkling on a pedestal, the Thousand-Reflections Diamond." Pax couldn't imagine how much it was worth. Now he was glad that he had disabled the electricity in the museum before going in. A diamond of such high worth must've been heavily guarded to certain extremes.

Now for the weight exchange. Pax carefully estimated the size and weight of the diamond in full time, although him and Orion had already done research on the diamond before, a little extra caution didn't hurt anyone. The diamond was small, about the same size as a large glass marble. Taking in a deep breath, in one swift motion, he swiped the diamond off the pedestal, to replace it with an equally small stone.

He waited in silence for any alarms he may have set off during that split second.

Coast is clear. Right. Pax turned and bent his knees into an acute angle, pushing off the ground and jumping into the vents with a small creak.

Orion's earpiece crackled. "Inanimate, done and over." He smiled. "Now to get Pyro before they have too much fun destroying the city, or else there'll be no more city to destroy."

On the top roof of a construction site, Finley sat atop of an iron beam, humming and swaying their dangling legs off the beam like a kid who just got ice-cream. Their eyes saw the city through the hot-pink lens of their goggles in shambles, smoke swirling around and the dry taste of fire in the air. Finley licked their lips.

"Pyro, it's time to go home." Orion dropped out of nowhere onto the same iron beam where Finley sat.

"Awww but I haven't dropped the TNT yet!" they whined.

"I know, but you can have another chance next time. Besides, once we get home, I have a gift to give you."

"GASPPP REALLY? I WANNA SEE!" The synthetic fur on the neck of Finley's olive parka fluttered in the wind.

Orion chuckled.

He knew he could always count on his best friends for a joyride in the city, even if it meant destroying it.

This villain trio is based off my irl friends. Finley would represent the jumpy and sparky/ chaotic one, Pax represented my introvert gamer friend who honestly wishes they were a rock, thus the name Inanimate since they once said that that's what they wanted to be in their next life. Orion represents my friend who is the only one that has an actual braincell in the group, but still chaotic in every way as introvertly and humanly possible.

Try to guess which one I am ;)
