"Look ahead." And I did, right in front of me was the glowing white screen.
Somehow I didn't take note of it before because I was so concentrated on Henry. But now I couldn't take my eyes off it, it was large and mysterious.

I touched the black blob box connected below it. It suddenly started morphing like the kndlsknsdl. It lurched back and forth before finally settling onto a neat sleek keyboard with a  wireless mouse even a webcam and speaker. My hand slowly reached out, for what I was almost afraid to know. It stopped just before it touched the keyboard, I paused.

Hesitantly with a glance from Henry I pressed a key. The whole lit up, opening what I assume was the "home screen". In the corner there was a database. I clicked, it pulled up an immense document. There was a list of a ton, millions, maybe even billions of words and numbers. I looked closer, it was people I realized. A infinite list of people and other creatures and more.

Who were Jerrhai and Neglova? Definitely not human seeing as they've been at this for a while. I scrolled through the seemingly endless list. Out of curiosity I clicked on a random one. There weren't much details about the actual person, I guess that checked out if they wanted a strong disconnection between this and their previous life. It wouldn't be important for there to be information about them as a person, although it that was the reason why keep any information at all? Hmmmm... The story however did say that Jerrhai and Neglova had been in charge of this and this one was dated 2011. I clicked back towards the first page, and checked a few random names listed, I went back as far as I could. A boy named Chester from Europe in 1697.

I whistled.

"Man, this was pretty far back."

But the peeps in charge were still Jerrhai and Neglova. Were they really in it all by themselves this whole time. I noticed in the link it also said he was involved in something "the failed uprising of 1700" what? This seemed interesting. There was a little stat with it. I clicked the link, it took to a page that said history of the emporium. I looked with wide eyes. Was this it?
The document wasn't super long. Which I can't say is a surprise but details were kind of suspicious. Using the fast reading skills I had just learned in school (Can't say I never learned anything helpful from Middle School)I skimmed the text for important points. Needless to say it was... interesting. According to this, when they first started the emporium, after a few rounds some people had slipped through the cracks gotten free and inspired a rebellion. It was a smaller amount of people back then, but nevertheless they made stuff happen. They almost learned how to hack and use the black glob. But Together they were able to resist the glob, and fight back. They ended up getting separated, and eventually failed, Neglova made more extreme Restrictions to erase individuality and make sure something like this could never happen again. Jerrhai also analyzes more in depths and vets the prisoners more carefully.
I finished. Henry looked ahead amazed as well.
"Oh. My. Gosh." I whispered. After reading that, something had began to grow in me, the darkness crawled down spine and started creeping to my other arm. The inevitability of it all loomed over me as well. I remembered how they came so far but failed, but I also remembered far they came. Something deep within me was taking root. An idea, hope.

Jerhair pov
Crash! A sound echoed through the air. But it wasn't just the sound that surprised - astounded her it was the impossibility of it all. They might as well been robots, there were no hesitation, no feelings no mistakes, it shouldn't even be in their ability to do. She rushed to the scene of the crime.
But it was empty. Save for a bowl of mush. She sighed, but using her datapod to have one of liberals clean it up. Let's see, if this one went here, and exact order, for 25 minutes. She walked analyzing data patterns tracing the source. Then it should be her.

She looked up at the line of liberals, They all looked the same as everyone else. Which is to say literally dead inside. But something was different from all the thousands of times she had seen this before. Just what was it?

All the sudden she got another ping! Someone had used the main frame. She narrowed her eyes.

Any other time she would have dismissed it, these happened from time to time. It could be a glitch, she could look at it later, or not at all. It was rather far from the main soul room anyways. But this timing of the whole situation...

Couldn't be a coincidence.

She peered at the suspected faulty liberal from the corner of her eye. She knew it was once of them, and she might even know the exact one, but there was no time to confirm. She sent  her over, the whole group in fact- to be safe to Neglova for cross examination. Meanwhile This "innocent ping" could be something.
She started to very rapidly walk to the source, basically sprinting as fast as she could.

One way or another this would be ended, and no one and nothing would ever escape the emporium.

Ever again.
