"W-What are YOU doing here?" Irene asked, shocked.

Y/N took a deep breath, she knew this is gonna be all sobbing and heartbreaking in these few coming minutes. She desperately turned towards Taeyeon, "Unnie... can I talk to her... alone?" 

Taeyeon looked over Irene who is still staring at Y/N and then turned to Y/N. She noticed the deep love and despair through her eyes. 

Understanding that it's their chance to be united once again she went to her room and came back with her small bag, "I'm going to Tiffany's. We decided on watching Netflix today..." with that said, Taeyeon took her car keys and left through the front door.

Heaving a deep sigh, Y/N took off her overcoat and hung it over the chair, and turned towards Irene fidgeting her fingers. Not knowing how to start. 

Remembering Wendy's and Taeyeon's advice Y/N decided to relive their moments together. Irene was standing there. Not able to speak or do anything. Her heart was beating fast in her chest as she gulped heavily.

"Joohyun..." Y/N started smiling at her, "Do you remember the first time we met at the university? You were a blushing mess, and I... well, I was not doing so well myself, " she chuckled a little, "my heart was beating out of my chest when we made eye contact. Just by looking at you, it happened. I was surprised. In my whole life, I never felt anything like that... for anyone."

Y/N slowly took one step towards Irene, "The next time we met... it was a whole new experience for me. You looked beautiful in the moonlight and I was just staring at you. Not knowing what is happening to me... We both started to lean in," Y/N blushed a little as her hand flew in the air, "I wanted... to feel your lips on mine. Don't ask me why... but, at that time, it felt like a great idea..."

Taking one more step, Y/N ran her hands through her hair, "The night at hospital... I never felt so helpless seeing you lying on the bed. It felt like I was the one who put you in that situation... I clearly had no intention of coming back... but I did." 

"I did because my heart told me to. And then you kissed me. We shared our first kiss... in a hospital room, "Y/N laughed in a low voice, "it was not the right time, but... I felt contented. I felt... safe. With you in my arms..."

Irene's hands were clamped with sweat and she was staring at Y/N talking about their encounters. She was speechless. 

Y/N took one more step towards her, "That night..." Y/N trailed her eyes on Irene's face, "You took my breath away. It was the most intense moment in my life, but, in that single kiss... I felt wanted. I felt special. YOU made me feel special, Joohyun." 

"The questions, my worries, my problems... it just faded. Like they were never there... It was special to me. And... I'm sorry for abruptly leaving you there... it was just overwhelming for me. After that, I was more afraid of what we had... And I being a fool. I was still oblivious... to everything you did for me."

"The night yesterday..." Y/N closed her eyes as a tear escaped, "it was... my birthday and I... almost lost you. I felt the pain and sorrow surge through my body. The feeling of losing you was so heavy that it made me realize something."

Y/N was now standing just a few steps apart, "I realized that... you are the most important thing in my life. You made me realize what it feels like to be loved and to love someone... You are the reason that I am speaking this much. You are the reason why I feel this heart fluttering and warm feelings...." 

Irene's mouth hung open as she just looked at Y/N confessing, "I..."

Y/N couldn't handle the pain of Irene not remembering her anymore. Her knees buckled as she knelt to the ground and sobbed, "Joohyun..." she looked at the ground as her shoulders were shaking due to crying.
