( This chapter technically takes place after the events of Here Comes the Sun. This story is now complete, however  I'm still working on it's sequel, Glad You Came, so please go check that out if you haven't already! )

Tim awoke to something not quite sharp yet not quite gentle poking into his cheek. He squinted at first, glaring at the ceiling above him and then at the owner of the protruding appendage. Toby jumped slightly at the sudden eye contact, withdrawing his finger temporarily from the other man’s face before a wide smile crested his lips.

“Mornin’,” Toby whispered with an added giggle, giving one last poke to Tim's cheek before letting hand fall onto the bed between their faces.

“Mornin’,” Tim grunted in response. His nose wrinkled as he rubbed his bleary eyes before sighing and rolling his head lazily to face the other. He realized then Brian wasn’t in bed with them anymore. “He go downstairs ‘r something’?” Tim asked with a furrowed brow. It seemed to take the other a moment before registering what he meant.

“S-said he was go-gonna st-start breakfast,” Toby nodded.

“Good,” Tim said with a yawn, stretching his arms above his head -- before carefully rolling onto his side to face Toby completely, one arm falling long ways above them with the other falling across the smaller frame, pulling him into a tight embrace. “Means more time to sleep for me.”

Toby giggled again, snuggling quickly into Tim’s grasp and taking fistfulls of the baggy shirt Tim was wearing as he nuzzled into his chest. Tim hummed, eyes fluttering shut as he allowed his face to nuzzle its way into the other’s soft, curly hair. Tim reveled in the quiet calm, Toby only ticking occasionally as they lay in the early morning light. Yeah he could get used to this.

The quiet was short lived when Tim heard the door creak open slowly, followed by feeling Toby lifting his head to peer over him at the intruder. Tim kept his eyes firmly shut and frame lax, if only because he was feeling quite lazy.

“He still asleep?” he could Brian whisper from his place at the door.

There was a pause before Toby responded, as if making sure Tim had actually fallen back asleep.
    “Yeah.”

    “Good.”

Brian’s footsteps were near impossible to hear as the door creaked shut and he made his way to the bed; warmth spreading across Tim’s back as Brian shimmied into the bed behind him, chest firmly against Tim’s back and arms snaking their way around his waist. Another warmth spread onto his neck, side and legs as Toby draped himself across him, a soft giggle erupting from him and sending small tingles across Tim’s frame. He liked this. No, he loved this.

Because if this was meant to be hell, Tim hoped he burned for eternity.
