The next days were spent shopping for the outfit I'd wear on Saturday. It was really difficult to choose because I didn't know where we'd go. I would definitely wear my black jeans even though rock wasn't really my style. But I wanted to match with Michael so...

It was Friday and the days passed by really slow. It obviously felt like that because I couldn't wait for Saturday.

"Are you listening, Laura?", the teacher asked.
"What?", I replied snapping out of my thoughts.
"Did you do your assignment?", she asked again.
"No, Ms. Collins, I'm sorry. I was busy these past few days.", I said.

Ms. Collins was our history teacher. She was quite old but she could still raise her voice and I was kinda afraid of her sometimes. Thank God summer vacation was behind the door and I didn't have to hand in that assignment so the only thing on my mind was my date with Michael.

Will he like me? Will he get to know me? Will I get to know him? Is anything going to happen between us?Ugh! I don't think so. I'm just a fan to him after all.

The bell rang signaling the end of school for this week.
"Finally!", I heard Maria shouting.
She was standing at the door of my classroom and since we had only a couple of classes together I didn't see her much throughout the day.

I rushed to her and grabbed her hand pulling her towards the exit.
"Hey! Maria, wait!", I heard a familiar but unwanted voice. Jamie, Maria's boyfriend, was coming our way. He didn't even greet me, he was that kind of asshole but Maria couldn't see it.

He whispered something to her and she said: "Yeah, I told you I'm free tomorrow."
"Okay, I'll see you then.", he said and pulled her in for a kiss that felt it lasted for centuries.
"Yeah, we'll be going now, bye!", I said and I pulled her away.

"Ugh, i so don't like this guy.", I said.
"I know. And I can't understand why. He treats me really nice and sweet.", she said.
"He isn't even your type. Why are you going out with him anyway?", I tried to change her mind.
"I told you, he's nice. And I don't think he deserves that kind of judgment. Anyways, where are we going?", she changed the subject the way she always did.
"I think we should go to the mall.", I replied.
"Let's step by Starbucks first. I need a coffee.", she said.
"Naturally.", I whispered to her and we headed that way.

~Saturday Morning~

I never thought I'd wake up so early and I would be happy about it. Maria was still sleeping. Yesterday, I freaked out when I realized I was actually going on a date with Michael and Maria suggested coming over to help me get ready in the morning and to make sure I'll remain calm. Like that was possible. I took a shower and when I got out of the bathroom I found Maria sitting in front of the mirror applying some eyeliner on.

"Good morning.", I said.
"Morning.", she replied.
"Why are you getting ready?", I asked her.
"I have a date with Jamie, remember?I don't know where we're going. He said it it's a surprise.", she said.

I said nothing. It was an extremely great day to ruin it talking about Jamie.
"Go dry up your hair so I can curl them for you", she said.

After finishing with my hair and makeup she helped me with my clothes. We ended up buying a loose grey shirt with the text "YOU CAN SIT WITH US" on it.

"You're ready!", Maria said with excitement.
I looked myself in the mirror. Grey shirt, black jeans, blue converse.
Hmmm.
I actually looked kinda rock.

"Are you leaving?", I asked her.
"No, I'll wait for you to leave first. I'm here in case something happens before Michael comes. Oh God, Michael Clifford is picking you up. Okay, don't panic.", she said mostly to herself.
"You idiot, I hate you.", I said almost crying.
"I told you not to panic!", she shouted."And I love you, too."

I checked my phone. I still had half an hour till noon and I didn't have breakfast.
"Are you hungry?", I asked Maria. "I'll go make a sandwich. Want one?"
"Yeah, sure."

I went downstairs and I found my mom in the kitchen.
"I thought you and Maria would be hungry so I made pancakes.", she said.
"Oh, thanks mom.", I said and I kissed her on the cheek. "I'll tell Maria to come."

I went upstairs and saw Maria holding my phone.
"I was coming to you.", she said. "Michael texted you."
OMG
I quickly grabbed my phone.
"I'm right outside your house. Don't make me wait:)", I read.

And now I could just die calmly.
