Rainy Days (Fluff)

Summary: You and Kokichi watch and play in the rain to get your mind off things.

The last few weeks has certainly been intense with the latest victims falling victim to Monokuma's killing game. It was unfortunate to say goodbye to Angie and Tenko, along with Korekiyo getting executed as well. The class trial was a showdown, with Himiko being very upset and crying her eyes out after the trial, although you can't blame her for that.

You continued to sit above the rooftop of the academy, sitting underneath a small hangover from the main entrance of the rooftop. You watched the rain fall from the sky as the mixture of grey and dark grey clouds stretched across the academy. The pitter patter sound of the rain helped you with your thoughts, often coming up to the roof to escape your classmates. You savored your moments alone, often by reflecting on the killing game and processing your thoughts about the latest trials and events.

Your thoughts were soon interrupted by hearing footsteps trailing towards the door of the rooftop. You soon heard the door creek open behind you, causing you to slowly turn your head around to see who the presence was.

"Well, fancy seeing you up here Y/N!" Kokichi said as he tilted his head to you with a confused expression. "I'm guessing you come up here often too..?" He continued as he began walking towards you, sitting himself beside you.

"Yeah, its just somewhere to get my thoughts together about this... stupid game." You said as you let out a sigh, slumping over and resting your chin on the palm of your hand. Kokichi looked ahead, with no emotion expressed on his face.

Kokichi sighed as he raised himself from his sitting position, he then faced you, offering hand to help you up from your position.

"Come with me Y/N." Kokichi said as he gestured for you to take his helping hand. You only looked up to him with a confused expression on your face. You continued to stare at him, Kokichi refusing to back down from the offer as his hand was still held out.

"Why?" You asked Kokichi, continuing to stare at him. The rain startled you as it began to increase, gradually getting louder on the rooftop, pouring down even more than before. You could hear Kokichi slowly sigh, audible above the heavy rain.

"Just come with me Y/N, It'll get your mind off things." Kokichi said as his hand was still held out to you. "Come on.." Kokichi pleaded, furrowing his eyes, and staring into yours.

You took his hand, being dragged up from your sitting position. Kokichi gave you a small and sincere smile, a smile that made you feel warm inside, that's what you liked about him the most. Yes, he may be a liar and messed with trials, but since the two of you slowly began talking more and more, it led to many moments like these, just you and Kokichi.

He dragged you away from the rooftop and exited the doors from the rooftop, travelling down the nearby stairs and down onto the bottom level of the abandoned school. He continued dragging you along, listening to the rain continuing to pour down outside. The two of you soon arrived at the courtyard, staring at it, still inside the main building. You couldn't see the dorm building from here as the rain continued to pour down.

You suddenly felt Kokichi's hand leave yours as he began to skip out into the pouring rain, letting his purple hair getting soaked and his scarf stretching down. You gazed at him as he began to spin around carelessly in the rain.

"Come on Y/N!" You heard Kokichi say as he slowly began to walk backwards, offering a hand to you. "It's fun!" Kokichi laughed. He closed his eyes as he slightly tilted his head to the side, smiling. He faced you that was still protected from the rain, still offering a hand.

You giggled as you ran out towards Kokichi, purposefully collapsing into him. Kokichi caught your fall, looking down at you with a genuine and warm smile dancing across his face. He held you tightly, embracing you but since your head was slightly buried into his chest, you gazed up at him, giving him a small smile back. You felt Kokichi's arms slightly lift you up and off of him, leaving you to keep your gaze onto him. 

"Hey Kokichi, your smile is cute, you should smile more.." You trailed off, lifting your eyes to look at Kokichi while giving him a genuine smile.

You could see Kokichi slightly shift in his spot as he avoided your gaze. He partially covered his warm cheeks with his soaked and stretched scarf. His chest slowly began to rise more frequently as he quickly turned away from you, giving you a small distance between the two of you.

"Gee, this rain sure is annoying me, I had to wipe my eyes. Sorry about that Y/N." Kokichi said as he turned back to you, walking back. You swore you could see the redness on Kokichi's cheeks still visible after that whole distraction.

"Hey Y/N, look at this giant puddle!" Kokichi said over the rain, pointing towards the muddy puddle on the side of the walkway. The two of you approached the puddle, Kokichi however jumping into the puddle which splashed you a tiny bit.

"Hey! Kokichi! That's not nice!" You teased as you joined in, jumping in the muddy puddle with the rain continuing to pour down across the academy.

"Oh crap.." You blurted out as you immediately stopped jumping in the muddy puddle. Kokichi stopped as well, standing in the puddle with a confused expression on his face.

"Kokichi, our outfits will be covered with mud.." You slowly trailed off, looking down on your soaked outfit and muddy bottoms and shoes.

"Oh, who cares about that Y/N, we can worry about that later!" Kokichi said as he jumped high, causing more mud to splash onto you and Kokichi. You laughed as you began to jump with Kokichi in the mud. Because of the jumping, you soon felt your lungs slowly confine as your jumps slowly began to get more and more lacking of energy.

With the amount of energy that the jumping has taken out of you, you slowly made your way to the side of the muddy puddle and getting out of Kokichi's way, facing away from Kokichi. Luckily with the rain now gradually easing, it became much easier for you to catch your breath. The rain stopped pouring down, only making the quiet pitter patter sound as the rain sprinkled on the pavement of the courtyard.

With your breath that is now slowly regaining, you suddenly felt two arms snake around your waist and a body leaning on your back. Your breathing hitched, heart beginning to pound in your chest.

"Naww Y/N, did you get bored already..?" Kokichi wined to the side of you, still having his arms wrapped around your waist and his body slowly leaning more into you.

"No, why would I..?" You said as you continued to stare to the front of you. "Why would I ever get bored of you? You're interesting Kokichi.." You trailed off, heart beating out of your chest and your face beginning to set alight.

You suddenly felt Kokichi's arms tighten around your form and then slowly began to bring his hands to slide up your body, now wrapping his arms around your torso area. He leaned into you once again, this time his breath ghosting your neck, sending shivers down your spine.

"Well, You're very interesting to me too Y/N, I know I wouldn't get bored of you.." Kokichi quietly spoke as he attached his soft lips to the side of your neck, sending tingles down your spine and earning a small giggle from you.

"Kokichi, that tickles.." You giggled as he nuzzled into your neck, still standing and leaning into you. "Oh hey, the rain has almost stopped!" You continued as you began to glance around your surroundings. The rain was now sprinkling, with the grey and dark grey clouds now moving away from the academy.

"Hey Y/N." Kokichi muffled into the side of your neck, soon lifting his head up, still holding onto your body. "Can we dry off and go to your dorm now, its nice and comfy~" Kokichi asked as he slowly let go around your torso area.

"Oh sure.. I have some hot chocolate too if you want some.." You trailed off as you grabbed Kokichi's hand and began making your way towards the dorm building, the two of you still dripping with your soaked outfits leaving trails of water droplets on the pavement below.

A/N: Nice and short oneshot, I just imagined this scenario in class, I also wrote this from start to finish but I wanted to get this out because it's nice and short :D
