The next week was full of shopping for Laura's outfit. Sometimes we didn't even shop. We just searched the stores for something that would match Laura's style and Michael's as well. It was kinda difficult cause Laura's style was far from punk rock. She would definitely wear her black jeans and we wanted to find a nice shirt. It was Friday, already, so we had one day left.

"Hey, Maria.", I heard someone whispering.
I turned around and faced Jamie, my boyfriend. Jamie was tall and almost skinny. He was a soccer player so he was quite muscular as well. His hair was blonde, almost white, and he had pitch black eyes which made him look a little cold but he was really sweet especially when we were alone.

"About tomorrow..", he continued.
"Maria, turn around, now!", I heard the teacher shouting.
I smiled at Jamie and he winked before saying: "Sorry, Mr.Wilson, it's my fault. I was talking to her."
"Well, the next time you're both leaving the classroom."

Mr.Wilson was our maths teacher and even though he was nice as a person he wasn't good as a teacher. He was strict and he didn't know how to treat teenagers because it's been only a couple of years since he started working in high school. Jamie always said that he would probably be much better in middle school.

What am I thinking?
Laura is meeting Michael tomorrow. She still doesn't know what to wear. Oh, it's the last period. I'll rush to her classroom as soon as the bell rings, I thought while packing my things. The bell rang the moment I finished and I jumped off my chair and exited the classroom. I run through the students and I reached the door of Laura's classroom.

"Finally!", I said.
Laura rushed to my side, grabbed my hand and pulled me towards the exit of the building.

"Hey, Maria! Wait!", I heard Jamie shouting. I turned around and saw him coming my way.
God, he's handsome.
"What's up?", I said.
He leaned in and whispered in my ear.
"Are we meeting tomorrow? I have a little surprise for you."

"A surprise?", I asked.
"We'll get some ice cream and then you'll see.", he said.
"Well, yeah. I told you I'm free tomorrow.", I said.
"Okay, then. We'll talk.", he said before pulling me in for a deep kiss.

Mmmm. Damn, he was a good kisser.

I felt a hand on my shoulder taking me away from Jamie.
"We'll be going now, bye!", said Laura.
Oh, God.
I felt guilty cause I forgot she was there.
"Ugh. I so don't like this guy.", she said after a while.

"I know.", I said."And I can't see the reasons why. He is really nice and sweet."
"I don't care. He isn't even your type. Why do you even go out with him?", she said.
"I told you, he treats me nice. He makes me feel wanted. Anyway, let's stop by Starbucks. I really need a coffee."

~Saturday Morning~

I woke up to the sound of water. I realized it was coming from the bathroom. I opened my eyes and I remembered I slept at Laura's the day before so that I could help her get ready and calm her down if she freaked out.

Oh, I have a date with Jamie.

I checked my phone. Zero calls and messages. I had forty minutes to get ready. I stood up and I got dressed in an instant so I had plenty of time to do my makeup.

"Good morning.", I heard Laura saying while I was applying my eyeliner on.
"Morning.", I murmured.
"Any specific reason you're getting ready?", she asked.
"I have a date with Jamie, remember? I don't know where we're going to. He said it's a surprise.", I answered.

She made a weird face and said nothing.
"Well, go dry your hair up.", I said.
When she came back I was all ready and I started curling her hair.

"I think something will happen between you and Michael. I don't know what but probably something good since your personalities match.", I stated.
She didn't say anything which meant she was close to crying without me realizing.

"Oh, God. You're going on a date with Michael Clifford. This is too much!", I said being the one freaking out.
"I hate you.", she said with tears in her eyes.
"Okay, calm down.", I said to both of us.

"I'm hungry.", she said after a while.
That's a good sign.
"I'll go make a sandwich. Want one?"
I was starving since we didn't have breakfast.
"Yeah, sure."
I waited a little after she left and I headed to the mirror to check my outfit. I was correcting my lipstick when I heard Laura's phone ringing.

I looked at the screen and I saw a message from Michael.
"I'm right outside your house. Don't make me wait:)"
I started moving towards the door when Laura entered.

"I was coming to you.", I said and I gave her the phone.
She looked at me after reading it and I knew she wished she could disappear.
