Just dudes being bros

"C'mon Sui, you gotta give up man. There's no way she's going out with you and know that." F.F. told the boy. His attempt's were ignored or Completely misunderstood time and time again, F.F went from laughing hysterically to genuinely feeling bad for the guy. Like the time he brought Jolyne flowers for Valentine's and she responded with a hug followed by "you're like another brother to me!" He was incredibly determined, but for the wrong person and it was getting sad to see.

F.F. thought for a moment of a way to help their odd friend, "Can't you find someone else to obsess over? Or at least find something to do instead of make your horrible attempt's at getting her attention?"

Anasui gasped, "someone else? What do you mean find someone else? Do you seriously thi-" at that point F.F. was done with his bs.
"Actually, forget it. You're so hard headed now I don't feel bad for you anymore." Just as they were about to leave, their friend, Weather, showed up.

"Are you guys making plans? I asked Jolyne if she wanted to do anything and she said she was hanging out with Hermes." F.F. suddenly had a bright idea, "Actually I'm going to be pretty busy today so why don't you two hang out? You guys can go skating at the place downtown, have a bros night out!"

Weather nodded, "I'm down, what about you Anasui?" He sighed, "Well, I suppose I have nothing better to do so why not? Let's go."

When they had arrived Weather offered to play the entry fee, not like Anasui planned on paying anyways though. After that, they picked which skates they wanted. Anasui was nervous to stand up after he put on his skates. He had never done it before and they felt heavy on his feet, but I can't be that hard right? They're just shoes with wheels.

He tried to stand and move forward only to end up losing his balance, his arms went crazy and he fell back down on the bench he was sitting on before. Weather noticed this and was slightly entertained, "Sui, you don't know how to skate?" Anasui scoffed at the nick name, "I don't know how, and only Jolyne can call me Sui."

Weather nodded, "I'm surprised Jolyne didn't teach you, I've been here a couple times with her actually." 'Jolyne had been here without me, with him..' Anasui thought. Damn, it's like Weather was always 5 steps ahead of him.

Anasui, slightly jealous, said, "whatever let's just do this." Weather smiled and offered Anasui his hand. Anasui instead grabbed his forearm. Weather didn't seem to care and lead them to the smooth tiles they were to  skate on.

There was quiet, relaxing music playing and the disco ball at the center of the rink made a nice, shiny pattern on the ground. There were neon lights that made everything seem to be glowing, even Anasui's bright pink hair.

After being guided by Weather, Anasui released his grip on Weather's arm. "I think I know what to do" he said, standing awkwardly for a second.

Weather stopped to watch as Anasui took a deep breath and lifted a foot forward to move. He had moved only a couple feet before he began to lose his balance and fell on his butt, his hands landing flat on the ground under him so the impact was on his palms.

"Ugh, what the hell.." Weather couldn't help but snicker a little before he offered a hand out to his friend.

Anasui refused it and stood on his own. "Asshole, you make it look easy. How do you do it like it's natural?" Weather smiled, "Just step forward and glide."

To demonstrate, he skated off slow and got faster as he went around the rink. Anasui rolled his eyes 'show off.' He decided he would keep trying, considering Weather's not so helpful advice. Anasui tried but kept falling, and falling, and well you guessed it, falling on his bum. He couldn't help but think, 'if I pull this off, I could definitely impress Jolyne and she'd be falling for me in no time.'

As he was getting up from his 10th maybe 12th fall, Weather approached him. "I've been watching you practice, you're getting better but I think you could use a little more help." Deciding he would just ignore how Weather said he was watching him, he accepted the assistance.

Weather grabbed both Anasui's hands from the front and skated backwards. He pulled Anasui and told him to move forward. The atmosphere between them was tense, at least to Anasui. He looked everywhere but at Weather right in front of him, he knew if he looked forward he'd end up staring into Weather's eyes.

"Hey, you need to look forward or you'll end up losing your balance as a beginner." Anasui scoffed but did it anways only to find Weather was looking right at him. 'Fucking weirdo' Anasui thought trying to ignore the butterflies in his stomach he only got around Jolyne.

They continued like that for a while until Weather let go of Anasui's hands and he was skating on his own. Anasui was excited, he was finally doing it on his own! Only occasionally flailing his arms around to catch his balance, better than landing on the cold hard floor.

Weather skated by his side and took one of Anasui's hands, "you just needed to the the hand of it a little, but you learned quick." He smiled and to his surprise, Anasui smirked back even though he was iffy about the hand holding.

And so they skated together for about an hour, laughing together whenever they made little mistakes and sent each other falling. Eventually though, they got tired and returned the skates ready to leave.

"Thank you for paying Weather, it was fun." Weather shrugged, "It's no problem, I'll drive you home okay?" Anasui nodded and looked away shyly, "You can call me Sui."

WEATHERSUI FOR UR SOULS AND UM SORRY IF THEY'RE OOC I HAVEN'T WATCHED JOJOS OR READ IT IN A HOT MINUTE. I don't know what to call Weather Report so let's just say in this he goes by Weather. Also they/them F.F. the world.
