CONNECTING

MYRA'S POV

After reaching the firm Xavier went to his office while I went to Miss June's office. As expected she gave me work right away. So I went on my desk and stated working. After 2 hours of working continuously I went to the coffee machine to get one. I was pouring myself some when I felt a tap on my shoulder. I turned around to find a beautiful girl grinning at me. She was taller than me and had to look down to look into my eyes.

She had big baby blue eyes, and short blonde hair, she was wearing a white blouse and black pencil skirt. "Hey! I am Sarah Allan. I work in urban designing department here. I have never seen you here before are u new?" she asked smiling.

"Hey, I am Myra Lopez and yeah I am new here I work as an assistant for Miss June for my internship." I said smiling. She seems like a nice girl and I would love to make a new girl friend too here.

"Oh you are here for an internship nice. Nice to meet you. Wanna join me for lunch we could know each other more?" she asked grinning.

"Actually I have lunch with Xavier but I will ask him if you can join us too. I would love to know you better and make a new friend." I said a little nervous thinking I could have offended her by rejecting her offer.

But she just smiled and nodded saying "Yeah sure ask him. I could join you guys." She smiled. "We both should get back to work now."

"Yeah. See you later." I said smiling. She left and I poured myself coffee and went back to work too.

After 2 more hours of working it was finally lunch time. I went to Miss June's office and gave her the work I finished. "Miss June here is the work you gave me it's done. You can check it and tell me if there are some mistakes I will correct them." I said smiling.

She just turned the pages and looked at the work and then shoo me away with her hand. I don't get Miss June at all she never speaks. But whatever she is good at what she does so I guess it's fine. I went back to my desk and started cleaning it. I was almost finished when Xavier came.

"Hey, let's go." He said grinning. "Hey, do you know Sarah?" I asked.

"Yeah I know her. I have worked with her before. Why though?" he asked a little confused. "Actually I met her today and she asked me to join her for lunch but I told her I have lunch with you and would ask you if she can join us. So can she?" I asked hopefully because I really wanted to have a new friend.

Xavier gave a small chuckle and said "Of course she can sweetheart. You don't have to ask me. Now let's go." I gave him a small smile nodding.

Then all three of us went to the restaurant to have lunch. We talked a lot about everything and got to know each other better. Sarah is a really sweet and funny girl and we had a lot of fun at lunch. I already felt connected to her. Sarah said she will come to my apartment on Saturday as we have off that day and we all planned to go do some sightseeing. Xavier said he will ask if his friend want to join us too because he don't want be with two girls alone. I am already excited for it. I am really lucky that I made so nice friends so fast here.

After lunch we went back to the office andstarted working. Three hours later of working Xavier was at my desk ready to gohome. I smiled at him and organized my desk and we both left the office. We satin the car and I looked out the window thinking I made a right choice cominghere and smiled.
