So, it's decided that the story stays in 1st pov, although if that gets tough, I might just bail and head back into my comfort zone. Anyways, thanks for the 550 reads and 30 votes! :D Enjoy!!! 💜

Tara's Perspective: (Baby Sister, 12)

"Cussies!" I leap to my feet, ignoring the throbbing pain in my buttocks and instead focusing on submerging my two cousins in an inescapable hug. Obviously, they returned the favour eagerly, cuddling me with as much affection as they could muster. Jay and Jemma have been integral parts of my life, especially when I was smaller, and the hole they left was haunting. They were a occasional relief for me, especially living with four other intimidating males. Slipping off the couch I was huddled in, I finally took the time to gaze curiously around the room, and spotting my whole family here, a smile glowed across my face. Then, I turned an accusatory gaze towards my oldest brother, crossing my arms with a pout. "Why didn't you tell me Jems and Jay were coming! You know I missed them."

"Don't be mad, Tara. It was really spontaneous,"  explained Jemma, a fond gaze searching my face. Reaching down, my cousin lifted me so I was comfortably carried out the room, taking care to avoid my bottom. "We missed you too. Guess what, we'll be here for at least three years!"

"Really! That's so cool!"  My pout disappeared faster than a magician and I could hold back the giggles erupting from within. Having my cousins around would be heavenly, just like having two sisters. I already respected them as my elder sisters anyways. As we seated ourselves in the kitchen, me balancing on a soft couch seat, the questions started pouring out, even my calming brothers energetically contributed. "Why are you here? Is auntie and uncle ok-"

"Seriously, what happened? Are you guys ok-" Peter butted in, ignoring Carter's fleeting glare. Jemma and Jay both let out an overwhelmed laugh and they found a seat. Turning towards Peter, Jemma shrugged her shoulders, smirking at his sheepish grin. "Sorry 'bout the questions."

"No, it's ok. Our parents decided to hit a trip to Vegas, so now we're here."  Jemma ignored our sympathetic looks, waving them off distractedly. "It's a shitty situatio-"

"Don't swear. You know the rules, especially around Tara."  Ethan's stern voice interrupted Jemma, but he nodded for her to continue with a playful smirk. "We still spank, ya know."

"Sorry. But talking about spanking, what did Tara do." Jemma chuckled at the blush creeping up my face, swiftly changing the topic. Her eyes twinkled under the chandelier, light playing on her pupil as she gracefully stood, walking over behind the kitchen top. She halted my explanation, "Hold on, explain over lunch. Go sit, guys. Ethan, help."

"Ok mom." I beamed as a waft of delicious lasagna floated towards us, and moved gingerly over to the dining table. In her heart, Tara appreciated the gentle sisterly and brotherly affection her family had, even if she acted like it was a nuisance. "Yummmmm! Thanks Jemma, thanks Ethan!"

"No probs honey,"  they both replied kindly, ruffling my hair as they passed.

The table was neatly set, and the tasty food was ready so I rushed into my seat, releasing a pained hiss as my butt made contact with the wooden chair. My reaction earned a few sympathetic laughs, but my next words didn't. "Ahhhh fuck. Why did you have to hit so hard, Peter!"  I realised my mistake, and soon apologised. "I'm so sorry. It hurts really bad."

"You're forgiven, but I've decided to get rid of the strike rule. From now on, we decide,"  declared Author grudgingly, before ruffling my hair too. Jesus, what is it with my hair, isn't there something else they could ruin? A peace rested on the room while I explained the day's happenings, wincing pitifully every time I shifted. Although it hurt, I wasn't pained and soon the conversation turned into a new, interesting topic. Homeschooling was a reappearing burden, and so was patiently watching Jay and Carter debating furiously about it. "Really Jay, you won't die if  you do college at home! Your friends can still contact you."

"No! It matters. Since both my parents already ditched on our lives, I can't let my friends do the same!"  Jay's voice pierced the quiet side conversations, and everyone listened in to the raging conversation. "I'm not sitting here and cutting off all my fucking outside contact because of my parents!"

"Jay, calm down-" Carter tried to

"No, Carter."  Jay slapped his hand away venomously, standing up with a powerful heave. "Stop being a bitch about something like this cause even though you have no fucking social life, I do and I care!"

"JAY MADDY FIELD!" Author's authoritative voice rang in my ears and I knew they echoed inside Jay's as well, regret joining the fear. My eldest brother swiftly crossed to the other side of our large, glistening dining table, firmly grabbing my cousin by the wrist and landing a sharp swat. He let go with a menacing glare, and returned, spitting out an order. "Sit down. We'll deal with this later. You better drop the attitude."

Jay's Perspective: (Younger twin sister, 20)

I winced regretfully, taking the swat with a nonchalant manner. He surely couldn't do this anymore, I was an adult! Fuck him. Fuck everyone. Except for Tara, Peter and Jemma. At least they still loved me. Anger boiled up inside of me, dimming the throbbing pain of Author's steady hand. To be honest, I felt horrible for being such a trashy role model for Tara. I was one of her only female encounters and the kid was intelligent and charismatic. I couldn't ruin any more lives. I was in for a bucketload tomorrow. Oh well. Gritting my teeth quietly. I spit out a dishonest apology."Sorry, Carter. Sorry, guys."
