The Second Wave | Twice x Reader

Chapter Six

A/N: Hello Hello! I know it's been three months now, I've been updating really slowly, but I hope now, my update schedule will be a little more frequent. So, as you guys have asked for, here's the new chapter. Hopefully I can get the next one out within two weeks to a month but college tends to throw wrenches at all your plans. Enjoy!

POV: TZUYU

'I know you can do it, I watched you practice on the way here. Plus if you're in trouble, you can radio me.' I mockingly repeated Y/N's words in my head. It was easy for him to say, after all he looked like he had been doing this whole thing on his own since Seoul became this hell. Meanwhile, until just then with those two corpses in the hallway, I had never really focused on the grotesque look the corpses had on them, after all I was too busy trying to kill them. 

Once I got to the end of the service hallway, following what Y/N did, I turned on the sword, stabbed the knob with it, and rendered the door useless. With that out of the way, I cracked the door open slightly to peak through it. I had been to the Starfield Hanam before, but it's the second largest mall in Korea, I could be anywhere, so while checking to see if the coast was clear (It was clear enough, for a mall this huge), I also checked to see any landmark stores that could give away my location, or a map. 

It is then I see the huge sign, 'H&M', and considering how huge H&M's usually are, it served as a perfect landmark for looking at a map. With the information kiosk sighted, came the hard part, getting all the corpses to get away from it long enough that I could actually look at it, because there was no way I could just tear through all of them without getting mauled alive, there were just too many. 

Then I realized. I had my radio. Immediately I chucked it as far as I could in the opposite direction of the H&M and the information kiosk. It hit the glass of the electromart, causing a chain reaction of noise making that attracted the entire mall to that single area. After waiting a minute or two for the area to be swarmed, I immediately ran for the kiosk, easily dispatching one of the straggler corpses on my way there. 

I frantically looked for the H&M on the map of the mall, and found it right next to an E-Mart Convenience Store. It was then that I realized, that there was a giant warehouse supermarket two floors below, kinda like Costco. I couldn't go in it by myself though, too risky, so I decided to head towards the convenience store. 

The thing about going to a mall to scavenge for resources, is that there's so many corpses, that you'd have to be crazy to actually see it as a viable place to get what you need in a time like this. Especially in a city as big as Seoul. However, somehow get around all the corpses, and you get really lucky in what you find. That is exactly what has happened just now, as I entered the convenience store in the mall, finding it nearly completely untouched. I got to work as quickly as I could, grabbing a giant plastic bag from the counter and filling it with as many cans as I could, saving the backpack for the boxes of cereal I'd be stashing in there, and the bottles of soju.

I'm too busy loading up to notice the stray corpse entering the convenience store, and by the time I notice, it's too late. It had become aggravated by the noise I was making, causing it to hurl itself at me, tackling me in the process. I immediately close my mouth shut, wanting to avoid it's drooling saliva getting in my mouth, infecting me as I fight to keep it from trying to put its fingers in my eyes in an attempt to crush them, all while keeping it far enough that its mouth can't try to bite me. I realize I'm holding the bag with cans still and use all the strength in my right hand to curve it to the left catapulting the bag of cans into the corpses head, throwing him off enough that I use the momentum to push and kick him off, freeing up my hands to grab the sword, activate it, and slam it into his head, killing him.
