First and Last?

8 4 4

Eyes open for the first time

Unknown to what they see

Laughs and voices whisper welcome

Colors flash by

Eyes blink once then twice as

Tiny hands try to reach out

Laughs

A soft voice sing along

Beep-beep-beep

Sounds could be hear

Slowly but surely the sound

Grows weak as the voice finally

Comes to a stop

Laughs turn into cries

As eyes closed

For the last time.
