Chapter 20 - New Beginnings

Arielle's PoV

"You sure kaya mo?"

Napangiti naman ako sa inasal ni Philip.

"Kaya ko po." Sambit ko tapping his cheek lightly smiling

"You should apply for a maternity leave Arielle"

"Buang. Kaya ko pa. Tsaka di ko pwedeng gamitin agad yung dahil di naman sakop ng maternity leave buong period ng pagbubuntis. Haha. Kumalma ka. This is just a part of pregnancy."

"I-I'm just worried"

"As long as you're there kaya ko. I'd just ask for your help whenever I feel dizzy. Okay?"

"Be sure to tell me okay?"

"Yes sir hahaha"

Napataas naman ang kilay ko when I noticed him looking at my tummy.

"Huy?" Pagtawag ko dito

"H-ha?"

"Wala pang bukol yan. 2 weeks pa lang Philip."

"It's real right? I mean I'm not questioning you or anything... I... I just can't believe it"

"Totoo nga haha. Kaya sasamahan mo ko sa sunod na checkup"

"How about foods? May mga bawal?"

"Hindi ko natanong ng ayos but let's ask next time. I'll keep things healthy na lang din to be sure" I was about to sit down the bed pero bigla na lang siyang yumakap saken

"Oh? Hahaha"

"You... you made me the happiest Arielle... thank you. I love you"

"I love you too. And you deserve it, okay?" Sambit ko tapping his back

Philip's PoV

"May lupa kayo sa Batangas with a resort. You were also left with quite an amount of money on a bank account created for you. Other than that may business din ang papa mo related to tradings. May bahay and condo din na pagmamay-ari ng papa mo"

"Atty. wala akong alam sa business" sambit ko

"You can take your time. Check the documents here para masigurado mong tama lahat. I'm taking care of most of it"

Tumingin lang ako kay Arielle as if asking for help. Siya naman kumuha ng mga dokumento at tumingin sa mga yun.

"Bakit po ngayon lang kayo nagreach out kay Philip?" Tanong niya kay Atty.

"Well, I didn't expect him to leave the orphanage na pinag-iwanan sa kanya pansamantala ng papa niya when he got sick. I lost contact on him at ngayon ko lang siya nahanap thanks to technology"

"Akala ko naman ho kasi nang sinabi saken ng mga taga orphanage na namatay na si papa, wala nang kukuha saken don. So I decided to take my own risk"

"At least you learned your own lessons growing up. Sabihin na lang nating eto kapalit na naging hirap mo iho"

"Atty?"

"Yes?"

"What did my dad say about me?"

Napangiti si atty sa tanong ko bago siya sumagot.

"He left you all these deeds dahil sabi niya walang ibang may karapatan sa mga bagay na to kundi ikaw. He was sorry he has to leave you at a young age kaya sa ospital pa lang pinatawag na niya ako to fix his assets under your name"

"Alam niyo san nakalibing si papa?"

"Yes"

"Pwede po ba nating puntahan? Bago natin ituloy to?"
