When class ended I headed to my locker to retrieve a book. I looked to my left to suddenly see Rebekah standing next to me. "God!" I exclaimed as I jumped. "Don't do that!" I told her. "Forgive me. I forget how sneaky I can be sometimes. I've been told I can show up out of nowhere." Rebekah said. "I wanted to properly introduce myself. The name is Rebekah Mikaelson." She said. "Yeah. I know. You said that in class." I stated. "Ah, but I didn't give out my last name, now did I? No. I did not." She pointed out. She had me there. "Stiles." I told her. "No last name?" She asked. "Don't have one to give you." I shot back. "Now if you'll excuse me, I have to get to class." I voiced. "What do you mean you don't have a last name?" She asked. "That's what happens when you grow up without a family to give you one." I said. "You don't have a family?" She questioned. "What is this, 20 Questions? Stop pestering me!" I spat slamming the locker door closed with a loud metallic clang and stormed off. Elena and her friends came out of a classroom to see what was going on. "Stiles are you—" Elena started. "ENOUGH WITH THE GODDAMN QUESTIONS!! STOP! JUST STOP!" I exclaimed before disappearing around the corner.

I sat in the desk and drummed my fingertips along my notebook. "I would like you all to write a two-paged essay about your family history." The English teacher announced to the class. "Oh you've gotta be kidding me." I muttered under my breath as I shoved my tongue into my cheek in annoyance. "I want to know the head of your family. What did your ancestors do? Where did they come from? Things like that." She explained. "And, uh, for those of us who don't have a family?" I sounded. "Well...yo-they...they can speak with me after class." She answered flustered by my blunt question and my pissed off glare.

At the end of class, I headed to the teacher's desk with my arms crossed. "Forgive me earlier. I was not told that you were without family, Stiles. But you still have to do something along with the rest of the class." She said. "And what would you propose that I do?" I asked. "I...want you...to do some research about someone else's family. Perhaps ask a friend who isn't taking this class to help you. You have friends, don't you?" She stated. "Excuse me?" I spat with squinting eyes. I didn't like her tone of voice that came with her last statement. I leaned forward against her desk and glared darts into her eyes. "What did you just say to me?" I questioned in a low voice. Her eyes widened briefly with fear as her face blushed a deep shade of red with embarrassment. "F-forgive me. I m-meant no offense." She stuttered. "Speak to me like that again...and we're gonna have some issues, got it?" I snarled before pushing off the desk and exiting the classroom.
