I entered Scott's house alone as he stayed back to go to the party. I closed the door behind me and sighed as I slung my bag across the living room haphazardly. I made my way to my bedroom and crashed onto the bed face first. I let out a groan of exhaustion into the pillow. I should have taken a shower first...because the second I landed on the bed...I didn't move for the next two hours while I slept.

I panted as I ran through Mystic Falls. I was being chased. And I hated being chased. Ironic seeing how I'm the WR for the school football team. But, oh well. Blame Scott for that.

I looked behind me to see a shadowy figure speeding after me. It was fast. Unnaturally fast. Which made me wonder...if that thing is going super fast...how the bloody hell am I going fucking faster than it?

Yeah...because that's important right now, Stiles.

I ran into the school and down the hall as the monstrous being ran after me. It was obviously man. Or part man. It was something. That ran on two legs. That much is certain.

I rounded the corner down the next hall before I was yanked to the right and pulled into a dark concave. A hand covered my mouth as I felt my arms pinned to my side by something with enormous strength. I screamed into the hand but it came out muffled. "Shh." A man's voice whispered into my right ear. I looked up to find a relatively taller man with olive skin, curly brown hair, dark brown eyes, and a strong jawline. I struggled to break free when a loud snarl erupted from the hall. The man's grip on me tightened. He was stronger than he appeared to be. I froze as a snarl sounded right next to my head. I began to breathe rapidly into the man's hand as he pressed it against my mouth to silence me. The feral deep snarl was felt in my ribcage. I side glance to my left to see a shadow casted on the opposite wall. A man was seen holding what appeared to be a weapon in his hand. A hand reached around the corner before the being growled in frustration and disappeared down the hall.

The stranger released his iron grip and let out a breath. "Well...I was beginning to wonder if that man would ever leave." The man said in a European accent. What's it with me and meeting Europeans nowadays? Do I have a natural musk that attracts Europeans or something? If that was the case, why hasn't Tom Hiddleston showed up to say hello? Not that I'm complaining about the dude before me.

"Who...who are you?" I breathed. "Sorry for startling you, darling. That wasn't my intention." The man said as he looked into my eyes. Darling? The fuck? "That...that didn't answer my question, darling." I pointed out. "Right. Apologies." He said as he took a step forward towards me. "You already know that." He whispered into my ear. The hairs on the back of neck stood on end. I hadn't realized I had closed my eyes until I reopened them. And much to my disappointment...the man was gone. But on my hand was a dark gray ring that I usually had around my neck. It sat comfortably around my middle finger of my right hand. I looked at the brilliant ruby jewel inset on the piece of jewelry. The letter "M" in calligraphy embossed on the jewel in diamonds. "Holy fucking shit." I whispered looking at the glittering piece of jewelry on my finger. "Thanks...whatever the fuck your name is." I whispered staring at the ring with bewildered eyes.
