Lebrae: This is a report of the week of June 22nd through 28th aboard the Ekhi, week four of the expedition to Xenos. I am Communications Officer Cin Lebrae and I've been elected by the crew to update Siero Base of the goings-on aboard the Ekhi.
Much like the previous three weeks, life on the Ekhi has been running smoothly with the notable exception of a breakdown in communications on June 27th. Communications Officer McFarline and I were tasked with getting them up and running again. As you can see, our spacewalk was successful.
We discovered a strange substance inside the panel while on our walk. We took a sample and brought it aboard the Ekhi. When we returned to the bridge we found that the video links aboard the Ekhi were down, though whether this is because of the substance or our own tinkering, we do not know. Communications Officer McFarline and I completed a walkthrough of the ship and fixed the video screen connections.
Regarding the strange substance, it seems that it is some sort of living organism, but Doctor Teller has reported that it is of low-intelligence. It is currently being studied by Doctors Teller and Fan; they may send a report of their studies before the weekly update.
As is to be expected, the crew grows restless due to long distance travel. We will continue to do our best to stave off boredom while we count down the days until we arrive at Xenos. But for now, it appears that we've discovered our first lifeform on Expedition Twenty-three.
