                                ~Mica~

"Well hello", her full lips parted to say as her wondering dark eyes levelled to meet mine.

It seems to me as though she doesn't care that I caught her staring. Almost as if she wanted me to see her slowly scan my features and deem me okay to whatever standards she had in her pretty little head. Her tongue darted out to touch the bottom of her top lip. My eyes caught the way she kept it there for longer than necessary.

Is she doing that for me? Possibly. She wants me to like her I presume. She wants me to want her how I'm sure many others do. She wants me to show her that she has power over me. But if she wasn't? Perhaps she doesn't care for my presence, in fact, she probably wants me to explain why I'm stood in the middle of her kitchen.

I continued analysing her for a moment before talking.

"Tallula? It's nice to meet you, I'm Mica" I introduced myself. Her almond-shaped eyes seemed to widen at that. Was it something I said? Was she surprised I already knew her name? Maybe she thought I was a stalker.

I scoffed at that thought, she couldn't be that narcissistic. I was only in her house as I was forced to meet up with my mentor buddy, Jay, twice a week.  After I enrolled in the program the other day, I was quickly assigned to a new student in year 10. He was quite rude and lacked many manners but was quiet, I did appreciate that. I could work with that. Our meetings, if you'd call them that, consisted of me talking at him and him noting down nothings in a book. I was pleased, to say the least. This was our second meeting as we had agreed I'd be coming to his house for our sessions. Imagine my surprise when Tallula Gale struts into the kitchen, as I'm making him dinner.

Tallula Gale. Jay Gale. It was so irritatingly obvious, though I lacked the care to connect the dots.

Tallula being here during our sessions didn't faze me, in fact, the more I thought about it, the more I was enticed to know more about the enigma that is Tallula. I am quite the observer, yet the one person who seems to escape my dissections was Tallula. All I knew of her was the fact that she was in the year below me and was very popular. That's it. Surely there's more to her though, I mean, the fact she is related to such a low-level nuisance is a revelation itself. Well, it seems that the last few seconds of pondering over her very existence has intrigued me more than anticipated. I had a strange urge to want to know more about her, I wanted to know her likes, her dislikes. I wanted to know what she did for fun. Was she a moody morning person? Maybe she was like Isabel and loved the male gaze. She seemed to be a mysterious equation that everyone seems to already know the answer to, but that's like all theories until proven wrong.

Her head tilted slightly and her eyes ran over the length of my body before she smiled.

"Mica...", she trailed off in a soft voice. "You must be the mentor Jay was telling me about?" she finished as she crossed her arms over her chest. The action pulled my gaze towards her body making me hyper-aware of her current attire. She was wearing a pair of black shorts that stopped just under her bum, her ample sized breasts were peaking out under her cropped vest top. She had a small stripe of skin on show between the two clothing items. Her choice of attire lulled my brain for a few moments, the word at which I wanted to describe her at that very moment was unbecoming of me. As soon as thoughts that have never graced my mind started to swarm my brain, I snapped my gaze back up to her symmetrical face.

Her eyes twinkled in amusement as a small smirk made its way onto her face. It seems as though it was my turn to be caught looking at her. My earlier question answered, as she seemed to love the male gaze, I internally hit myself for feeding into her prepossessed vanity. But I just couldn't help myself. Her bronze skin seemed to glow in the soft lighting of the kitchen, making her look even more model-like.
