It's been 3 years since I married the love of my life. Bucky, he is the best husband I could ask for. When we met I didn't think that he would be the type of person to settle down and get married. He is leaving soon. He has always wanted to help the country, what kind of wife would I be if I didn't let him do what he always wanted to. So I'm going to be saying goodbye tonight which will be the hardest thing I've ever had to do. I'll always have his best friend Steve.
Bucky- hey honey, you okay?
Y/n- yes im fine just caught up in my thoughts is all.
Bucky walks over to me and kisses my forehead.
Bucky- I was thinking me and Steve and maybe one of your lady friends can go out tonight or last night before I leave.
Y/n- honey what has Steve told you to stop trying to set him up with my friends.
Bucky- I just want him to have someone so he's not alone when I leave.
Y/n- he won't be alone he will always have me.
Bucky- I know
He kisses me and then he goes to our kitchen and grabs a glass.
Y/n- I'll talk to Peggy
Bucky- thank you love
I shake my head and laugh. I stand up and walk out the door and I bump into Steve.
Y/n- Oh hey Steve.
Steve- o..h....hey......y.../..n
Y/n- I'll talk to you later
I walk away and go to Peggy's house. I knock on the door.
Peggy- oh hello Y/n what a pleasure to see you
Y/n- Peggy hello
She gestures to me to come inside which I do. We sit at her table and she grabs two cups and pores some tea into them.
Peggy- honey?
Y/n- yes please.
She sits at her table and hands me the cup.
Peggy- shouldn't you be spending time with your husband before he leaves
Y/n- Yes that's what i'm here about.
Peggy- What did he say this time?
Y/n- he wants you to come out with him and Steve tonight.
Peggy- he's trying to set Steve up with me again
Y/n- yes so will you for me
Peggy- only for you
Y/n- thank you i should go thanks for the tea too
Peggy- i'll be over later
Y/n- Okay bye
I walk out of her house and make my way back to mine. Good thing she doesn't live very far for us or I would be walking forever. I get to the house and I open the door.
Y/n- honey i'm home
Bucky- in here love
I walk into the living room and the boys are sitting on the couch and I go and sit by my loving husband.
Bucky- So what did she say
Y/n- she said she will come with us
Steve- who?
Y/n- peggy you have a date tonight steve.
Steve- no come on you two know i'm in love with someone already
Bucky- who is this so called love of your life
Steve- I can't say
Steve says as he looks at me with a stern look.
Y/n- well I should go get ready boys i'll be down in a few
I get up and kiss Bucky and Steve looks at me as I walk up the stairs. I go to my closet and grab a red dress and a blue one and I hear a knock on the door. and I look down the stairs and it's peggy.
Y/n- come up here
She makes her way up the stairs and we both start to get ready and we put on the dresses. I chose the blue one and she got the red one.
Y/n- you look wonderful Peggs
Peggy- have you seen yourself you look like a goddess
I laugh at her comment and then we both make our way down the stairs and the men look at us.
Bucky- My god
Steve- you look wonderful
Steve says, looking at me. I make my way to my husband and Peggy to Steve. As we both walk out of the door and we get into the car we all start to talk about the little thing. I think what we are trying to do is distract ourselves from the fact that my husband is leaving and he will be gone. I'm not really sure how long he will be gone for but however long it is I will miss him the same everyday.
We made it to the place bucky had picked out i'm not sure why but he did. We get out of the car and we walk up to the stage where Howard Stark is doing his presentation on a flying car. We all looked at the car in shock that he did it. Then it falls.
Howard- i didn't say it would be right now
We all laugh. We walk away and Steve makes our way to the army sign up thing.
Steve- Bucky will kill me for you doing this
Y/n- he's my husband and i may be a woman but i want to do this for him and me.
We start it and then we get denied.
Dr. Erskine- Why are you two here
Y/n- the army
Dr. Erskine- Yes you are your good both of you
He hands us his card and our approved letters. Bucky sees us and walks up to us with peggy.
Bucky- where have you been
Y/n- we where trying to fine some food im famished
I kiss him and we walk to find food.
The next morning.
I wake up and I see my husband all dressed in his uniform. I got up and went to him and put my arms around him. He turns to look at me and he smiles.
Bucky- i'll be back my love
He said as he kissed my lip and he walked away. I can't help but feel sad that my husband is leaving.
