The decoders did there work well. Within the next week they had narrowed down the meaning and send us with some answers.
Today was the first day that I've outside my room in a week. It took me a week to except the fact that I was in love with the man that was forbidden from loving me. The week involved many hours moping around my room trying to find ways to deal with it, and about three cakes later, I still had no idea.
I slowly packed my stuff and some extra food into my saddlebags before heading down to the stables to meet my horse. Chocolate, my horse, was a little round and short, but he was perfect. I tied my saddlebags to my saddle before getting my bedroll from my room. I said my goodbyes to Reena and Beatrix, who had came sometime over the week.
Tedros walked into the stables in his riding clothes with bags under his eyes. (Huh, I wonder why.) He said goodbye to Reena and Beatrix before tying his things to his horse and mounting. I quickly followed suit.
"Where do you wanna start our route?" Tedros asked.
The decoders requested about twenty different places but all in one reign. "How bout we start in Frostplains and make our way to Camelot?"
Tedros nodded. "Sure."
The ride to Camelot was quiet. Since we were in no rush to find Tedros's mom, we took breaks every few hours to let the horses get water and stretch their legs. Although our journey started at midmorning, it was sunset when we were only halfway to the Frostplains.
Tedros said that it would be better to set up camp before it got dark and I don't disagree with him. She tied up our horses after feeding them, and started to make a fire.
After eating the food that we stuffed in our saddlebags, we got out our bedrolls and laid down.
"I-It's cold." Tedros said. I look over at him in his sleeping bag and burst out with laughter.
When I looked over I saw Tedros shivering extremely hard with his sleeping bag pulled over him nose.
"Are you really that cold?" I asked trying to catch my breath.
"Yes," Tedros said. "We are sleeping in the middle of the woods with only sleeping bags about halfway to the frostplains which are called the FROSTplains for a reason."
I snort. God, he's so cute looking so helpless.
"Now, get over here." Tedros says, bringing me out of my thought.
"What?" I ask.
Tedros sighs. "I'm not going to freeze my ass of tonight so get over here and lay down" he commands.
I slowly get out of my sleeping bag wondering what the hell is he thinking. I walk over to him and lay down my bag a foot away from his. I get in and roll over so my back is to him.
I hear shuffling and the feel a big arm wrap around my body. I flinch. "What the hell do you think you're doing?"
"Getting warm." he says while shuffling into my sleeping bag. He puts his sleeping bag over us for another layer and he lays down and pulls me close to his chest.
"Is this really necessary?" I say, slightly aware of the heat rising to my face.
"Yes." Tedros says, snuggling into me. "We are both gonna freeze of we don't get heat. And the only heat we can get besides the fire is body heat. "
"I'd rather freeze then share this sleeping bag with you." I say back to him.
"To bad because I'm not gonna let you." He says. He snuggles into me more as I finally try to relax despite the fact that the guy who is out of bounds to me has his arms wrapped around my body.
I feel his hot breath on my neck when he exhales. I notice the small circles he traces on my stomach. And before I know it, my eyes drift closed.
I wake up with my cheek pressed against warm cloth as I struggle to open my eyes. I groan as I bury my head further into the cloth as I start to gain consciousness.
I hear a yawn as something big stretches around me and pulls me close.
"Morning princess." I hear a voice I know all to well say.
I look up and fine Tedros staring at me with a smirk on his face. I bury my head further into his chest. "Who knew you weren't a morning person."
"And who knew you were just a big puppy dog that just wants to be cuddled." I mumble.
He snorts and pulls me closer.
"Don't we have to get up?" I ask.
"Shhhh. Shut up." He whispers in my ear. A shiver runs down my body as his lips brush against my ear.
"Why?" I ask
"Because if you mention getting up, then that means we will have to get up." He says closing his eye like he's gonna fall asleep.
I sigh and lay my head back down. It looks like the sun is just coming up now, so we will have a little while before we have to feed the horses.
"Fine." I say
"Just admit you like snuggling with me." He smirks with his eyes closed. I'm grateful that his eyes are closed so he can't see my cherry red face.
I snort. "You wish."
