Beep! Beep!
Turning in her sleep. Dawn slams her hand down on what caused her to wake up. With a groan, she turns in her bed. She was hoping to go right back to sleep. But sadly by the sound of footsteps coming towards her bedroom door, that was a pointless hope.
"Dawn, you better not still be in bed," her mother said," you're going to be late for work."
Letting out another groan Dawn threw her blankets off her and climbed out of bed. She just wanted to sleep in. She never gets to sleep in. Her mother always made sure of that. Ever since she was little her mother would always get her up at six in the morning.
Dressed, Dawn made her way downstairs to the kitchen. "Morning," Dawn said.
"Good morning sweetheart," her father said behind a newspaper. He sat at the table, a plate of scrambled eggs and bacon laid in front of him. Sitting down in one of the empty chairs. Once her mother sat down at the table, her father put the paper down and they ate. Dawn didn't have enough time to eat so she scarfed down a few mouthfuls and got to her feet grabbed her bag and ran out the door. If she ran she just might make it before she was considered late.
"Look who decided to grace us with her presence," Layla said.
"Shut up," Dawn said dumping her bag on her desk.
"Did you oversleep again?" Luke asked handing a coffee to her.
Taking the caffeine cup Dawn took a sip and ignored her friend's question. They know that if it wasn't for her mother constantly waking her up she'd never be on time for work.
"Breaking news, another body has been found at the edge of Coland. This makes thirteen bodies found and the investigation is nowhere near getting solved."
"Turn that radio off," a man said from his desk.
Reaching over Dawn turned her radio down, leaving it loud enough for her and her friends.
"So where's Trixie?" Dawn asked.
"Oh, you know her, if there's drama somewhere she's there with some popcorn," Layla said.
"Or she's the cause of it," Luke added.
Bang!
The front door burst open and Trixie comes running towards them. She was breathing heavily but her face looked excited.
"What's up?" Dawn asked.
"You won't believe who I just saw," Trixie said.
"Trix I don't like guessing games just tell me," Dawn said sitting in her chair.
"The blonde squad; Hailey, Janet, and Courteney are coming," Trixie said.
"Why are you happy about that, I thought you hated them," Layla said.
"I do hate them," Trixie said her smile growing.
"Then what's up with the smile?" Luke asked.
"I threw my smoothie at Courteney, she's covered in blueberry sherbert," Trixie laughed.
Dawn shook her head chuckling under her breath. Luke looked shocked, and Layla looked offended. Out of the four of them, Luke was the more reasonable one. That is probably why her mother liked him so much. She, Trixie, and Layla would always find themselves in some sort of trouble. Whether that be because one of them started it, or because Dawn got too invested in one of her stories. The sound of the door opening again brought Dawn's attention from her friends. Looking over at it there stood three blonde women. Hailey with her pastel pink top and short blonde hair walked in first. She was followed by Janet who had a bubblegum pink dress on and long blonde hair. Lastly to walk in was Courteney who had a hot pink shirt on curly blonde hair pulled into a high ponytail. Her shirt was covered in Trixies' smoothie.
