Just a quick note before we begin:
I'm skipping the whole hero license exam arc because its way too long and I find it quite boring, and I'd rather not spend my time writing about things I'm not passionate about. So we're skipping right ahead to after the exam, the night of Izuku and Katsukis fight.
"Katsuki?" You asked cautiously. Katsuki was sitting on your bed next to you, his elbows resting on his knees as he leaned forward.
You reached out slowly to touch his shoulder, but he moved away. His actions confused you, he'd been avoiding you ever since the exam finished and any time that he did speak, he was yelling.
"Listen," you say calmly. "I understand that you're upset, I would be too. But it's okay to fail sometimes, you cant be perfect at everything-"
"No."
You looked at him confused, "huh?"
Looking up at you, he grimaced with a frown, "just shut up. I dont wanna hear it." He said, standing up to leave.
That pissed you off, "What is wrong with you?" You stand up aswell, crossing your arms against your chest. "You fail once, and you start throwing a tantrum like a child? I get it, you're mr.number-one-hero but that doesn't give you the right to treat me and everyone else like shit!" You yell, frustrated and angry.
He had no right to act like this.
He turned around, "me, a child? You're the one that cut off the only people who cared about you as soon as you found out they weren't telling you something, now you're calling me a child?" He yelled back, challenging your defensiveness.
"I decide who I wanna cut off and if I do, it's my choice, its not childish to not wanna be in contact with a bunch of liars!"
You were so angry, how can he just bring up something like that to an unrelated conversation?
"Akari. Your whole fucking life is a lie, now you wanna talk about who's a liar and who's not?" He scoffed, stepping closer to you, "get it into that empty head of yours, you're lying to everyone Akari, everyone. By hiding under this pathetic facade of being the cool, confident bitch who wants to be a hero, when we both know that you are nothing like that." He said tilting his head.
"You're just a weak, emotional and insecure bitch who hates heroes, and wants to be a hero just for some validation from the people around you." He said, his words lacing with venom.
An incurable venom that seeped through your veins, every word stabbing painfully into your heart.
You remained silent while he screamed at the top of his lungs, throwing degrading words at you left and right.
"You're weak Akari. And you'll never be anything because all you do is stick your nose into places that you shouldn't and you get hurt, expecting people to drop everything and come and save you." He breathed heavily stepping up closer as you stepped back.
"You just want attention. That's all." He spoke quietly, "now go cry in a corner, waiting for someone to come rub your back and comfort you." He said, glaring at you for a few more seconds before stomping out of the room - slamming the door behind him.
You stood there, in shock by his words, how can he be so harsh?
You couldn't even recognise him at that moment, the kind Katsuki who was so soft and whipped for you, the Katsuki that held you while cried, the Katsuki that kissed you gently, letting you know that he's here for you, that he knows, that he cares.
