During the beginning of the year, I wrote several stories for a romcom anthology fanfic series called Waifus & Music. The premise was simple--it was about three audiophiles, from around the world, and their adventures with waifus from various animes, past and present. I believe I wrote about 15 stories, featuring characters from Rent-a-Girlfriend, FE3H and Shimoneta, before leaving these stories behind to focus on my newfound life as a traditional/digital artist.
Months have passed without writing a Wattpad fanfiction. During this time, I was heavily focusing on my manga classes--spending a week or two sketching an anime character I liked, before sending it out to the whole world. As a matter of fact, at one point in time, Phil Lord and Christopher Miller (the legends behind The LEGO Movie and Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse) noticed fanart I made of the character Katie Mitchell from their Netflix film The Mitchells vs. the Machines (Good movie, by the way--highly recommend a watch or two.)
Funny enough, despite my inactivity on this site---more stories began to circulate in my head out of nowhere. Over the past few months, all the movies/animes I've watched, all the places I've been to, all my experiences---good and bad---during this year, collectively gave birth to a whole new direction for Waifus & Music.
No longer were they simply limited to being lighthearted, wholesome romantic comedy waifu fanfictions. Now---let's just say that these new stories are completely out there.Without further ado, I present to you, the inaugural transition, from Waifus & Music...to Waifu Radio.
SIDENOTES:
• Unlike Waifus & Music, which were told in the first-person perspective, these new stories will be entirely third-person for the most part---allowing you to experience many characters for yourself, and see how their decisions could lead to something completely apeshit.• Waifu Radio isn't limited to one waifu---many waifus can collaborate (even the anime MC's themselves!) These fanfictions will continue to be centered around an anime or two, but not in a limited range compared to Waifus & Music.
• You ain't seen nothing yet.
