Hello, and if your reading this, you probably want to know about puberty. After you finish reading this book you are free to ask your mom any questions you didn't find the answer to in this book. So let's begin!

(NO BOYS ALLOWED!)

The first thing to know about Puberty is that it is a sign that you are growing up, the process of puberty usually starts when your about 9 years old and it stops when your around 13 years old. After that, you still continue to grow, but in a less rapid way.

Some things that you might feel in puberty is loneliness. To be honest, I myself have experienced crying everyday locked in my room, thinking that I'm ugly and everyone hates me. If you are going through something like that, it's important to remember that it's not you, it's the hormones flowing through our veins that are making us feel like this. Some people might get depressed and if you are, the best way to deal with it is to tell someone you trust, like your parents or a therapist, if you can't find yourself capable of trusting anyone, write in your diary, eventually you'll be more light and you'll be able to tell your parents.

Once during puberty, I had a terrible secret that used to make me cry every single night, I kept that secret from my parents for at least a year. One day, with all my courage, told them that there was something bothering me, when I told them my secret, their reaction was a lot more different to what I had imagined. Instead of shouting at me and being upset with me, they hugged me and told me that it was okay to do that, they were so caring and understood me. The truth is, there's nothing to be scared of really, it's just that creative little head of yours making up ridiculous images of your mother screaming at you.

"Some friends might never forgive and forget, but family will always forgive and accept you back into the group"

-My Mother

And that's what my mother had said.

If you find yourself in a similar situation, it's the best to tell your parents, it took a while for me to gather up my courage and tell them. If you just can't get the words out of your mouth, write it in a piece of paper, it'll be easier.
