Lava Oneshots

Breakfast

Kai had decided to cook breakfast that morning.

Normally it was Zane who cooked for the rest of them. Cole couldn't cook for shit, Lloyd and Jay didn't like cooking at all, Nya was often too busy to cook, and Kai had been banned from the kitchen because he insisted on using his powers instead of the stove. He ended up setting the kitchen on fire, causing Zane to kick him out. He just recently gained his kitchen privileges back, so he decided to use them. Correctly this time.

He worked carefully, making sure to follow the recipe to a tee. He wanted this breakfast to come out perfect, not only to impress Cole, but to prove to Zane that he could in fact cook without burning something or setting the entire monastery up in flames. He was frying some bacon in a pan, watching it carefully, making sure that it didn't burn. He was just about to reach over for something, when he felt two arms wrap around his torso. "Good morning hot shot!"

It was Cole. Of course it was. Kai couldn't seem to get rid of him, not that he would ever want to. The two of them were practically inseparable, always following each other around like two love struck puppies. "Good morning Cole, how come you're up so early?" Kai asked, flipping the bacon.

"I could ask you the same," Kai felt Cole plant a kiss on the back of his neck. It tickled. "Normally I'm the one having to drag you out of bed in the morning. I could have cooked breakfast you know,"

"Cole, I love you but you can't cook for shit," Kai teased. "I'm still surprised Zane's letting you back in here after the pizza incident."

"Say's the one who set the kitchen on fire," Cole retaliated, leaving another kiss on Kai's neck.

"Hey, that was one time. Besides I got my privileges back,"

"Yeah, after six months of having them taken away."

"Whatever."

Soon enough, Cole managed to pry Kai away from the stove, wrapping his arms around him as he kissed Kai tenderly. They had a hard time keeping their hands off of each other, it was only a matter of time before this happened. It only felt like the two of them were in the room. They were in their own little world. Nobody could interrupt them here, it was them, and only them.

That was until Lloyd bust in, breaking the two apart.

"Hey guys, I hate to breakup this lovely little scene but the stove is kind of on fire,"

The two turned around, only to be met with a huge amount of smoke coming from the pan. Kai of course panicked, causing Cole to go grab Zane, which awoke both Nya and Jay. Once Jay saw the commotion he started freaking out, leaving Zane with two panicking ninjas, a very tired Nya, and a flaming stove. He sighed, putting out the fire with his ice powers, before turning over to Kai with a very pissed look on his face.

"You've lost cooking privileges. Permanently."

Oh well. The kiss was worth it.
