Cole sat on his bed, hunched over his guitar, fingers calloused from years of practice. His fingers glided across the neck of the guitar with ease, his other set plucking at the strings delicately. He was playing a soft melody. It wasn't a lullaby but it wasn't classical either. It was just a tune, simple as that. Simple was Cole's style, and he was proud of it.

He was brought away from his own little guitar world when he heard a soft knock at the door. He looked up to see Kai standing in the door frame, a smirk adorning his face. "That was pretty good. Sounds like a new hit in the making."

Cole blushed as he smiled sheepishly. "Pshh I'm not that good. I'm just playing whatever comes to mind. Anyway, was there something you needed Kai?"

Kai shook his head, the spikes in his hair swaying a bit, a sign that the gel was starting to wear out. "Nah, just wanted to see what you were up to. I was helping Jay and Nya out with some technical stuff but then they started talking in nerd speak, which we all know I am not fluent in."

Cole chuckled at Kai's remark as he set his guitar to the side, making room for Kai on the bed. "So you got bored and decided to come bother me?" Cole teased as Kai sat down next to him.

"Exactly. But let's be real Cole, we all know you love it," Kai gave Cole a small, playful shove to his shoulder. Cole returned it, and soon they were wrestling on Cole's bedroom floor. They tussled like that for a while, but eventually Cole ended up pinning Kai to the floor, making him the winner.

"Kai, how many times do I gotta tell ya? You are never gonna beat me in wrestling, and that's a fact."

"Oh yeah?" Kai retorted. "Says who?"

"Says me, because I have a larger overall body mass. I'm built like a bolder, you my friend are built like a twig. I'm sorry, but it's true."

"Ughhhhh you're such a kill-joy," Kai pouted, sticking his bottom lip out dramatically. "Okay for real though, you're crushing me dude can you let me up?"

"Oh, yeah sorry," Cole quickly got off of Kai, and helped him to his feet. Once Kai was on his feet again, Cole felt a swift kiss to his left cheek, and soon enough Kai was back over to the door. "You may be stronger, but I am almost definitely faster. Cmon, lets go see if Lloyd's done cooking dinner, I'll race ya!"
