Chapter seven The sky's the limit

--kid's pov--
I met up with scarlet before school and took her to the park. We walked together, on our first 'date'.
"Hey kid...?" Scarlet started.
I looked at her and tilted my head to the side.
"Yes?" I asked.
"Why me? I mean... There are so many prettier girls out there... But you choose me.. Why?" She asked slowly.
I stopped walking and stood in front of her, pulling her pale figure close to me.
"Because your unique, and the most beautiful girl i've ever seen. I don't want anyone else but Scarlet Mi Flame" I said with a warm smile.
She nuzzled her head into my chest and i stood there, holding her with a smile.
We layed down in the grass and watched the clouds. At one point i straddled her waist.
"Scar... I don't understand how someone who drives me this crazy has insecurities... Your perfect in every way right down to your soul, the part i love most of all." I said and pressed my lips to her's firmly.
She kissed back and tangled her fingers in my hair. I sat us up and pulled her into my lap, pulling away from her with a smile. She responded with a small shy smile, her eyes pretty much glowing violet. I brushed some of her hair behind her right ear and touched her cheek gently.
"I love you." I told her and she blushed.
"I love you too..." She said quietly and i chuckled.
"Too cute." I said and kissed her cheek, picking her up and summoning bealzebub.
I steped onto the hover/skateboard and pushed with my soul for it to float into the air and fly us to the school. She smiled, enjoying the ride as i presume. I made sure to fly slow enough to make the moment drag on.

--scarlet's pov--
Kid's acting alot more lovie-dovie, oh whatever. Once we landed i hopped to the ground and landed on my feet, my short black skirt only flying up a little bit. I fixed it and grabbed kid's hand, walking to the mission board.
"Oo-oo! That one!" I said, pointing at a 2-star ranked mission.
Kid looked nervously at me.
"Scar, your only a one star, and your solo..." He said and i laughed, showing him my student I-D. His eyes widened and his jaw dropped.
"Y... Y-your a 3-star miester/weapon?!" He asked and i nodded.
"My skill level was high enough to rank me as such!" I said cheerfully.
"I keep falling in love with you over and over again." Kid said, giving me a hug.
I laughed and hugged back, walking to the death room, carrying a bag. I knocked at the door and lord death opened it.
"Hello hello miss flame! And hello my adorable little stripey-haired son!" Lord death said cheerfully, hugging kid.
"Daaaad come on! Your embarrasing me in front of my girlfriend!" Kid shouted and both me and lord deah laughed.
"Lord death i brought your favorite tea and some sandwitches!" I said, handing the bag to lord death.
His mask seemed to spread into a smile.
"Thank you very much scarlet, and am i correct in saying you are with my little kiddo?" He asked and i nodded.
"Yes sir, two weeks today. I-if you approve i mean..." I said, ruffling my bangs.
"Oh but of course! Your calming and warming soul wavelengths are just what kiddo needs!!!" He said, patting my head.
"Wait.. Scar your friends with my father?" Kid asked and i ruffled my bangs more.
"Yeah... I used to fight in his army... Before my parents stopped alowing me to so they could beat me more.... To be honest in nephelium years im over 1000 years old.." I said nervously.
"Precisely! Im sorry to say but i am glad they are dead!" Lord death said.
Kid just stared at me.
"What's your human age?" He asked, iritation dripping from his voice like venom.
".... 16...." I said quietly.
Kid smiled and seemed releaved.
"Alright, just want to make sure this wasnt a federal offence" he said and all three of us laughed.
I set up the table, made some tea and chatted with the grim reapers for a while until the bell rang for class.
