{hi again. So this time I promise I will stick to my upload plan and I will update every Monday so yeah, enjoy this chapter}

It's been a few days now since we've been in the hosting facilities here at V.W.S.C, and it really hasn't been what I thought it would be like. To be honest, I don't know what I was expecting when we first arrived, but this isn't it. First of all, we are barely allowed to go anywhere, unless we are being accompanied by a security guard, and second of all, they give us absolutely nothing to do. So it isn't exactly a shock to realise I'm no where near finding Xinlong.

Some of the people who I'm sharing a dorm with have already recovered their memories, and are long gone now, but I'm still stuck here, not knowing who the hell I am. The first person to go was a tall African male who I didn't really talk to that much. It was the first night we were here, actually, when the entire dorm was awoken by him talking rather loudly and excitedly to some security guards who were at our door. One of the guards held a clipboard with quite a few pieces of paper on it, and he was cautiously inspecting the information on it. From where my bunk bed is in the dorm, I could just about see what it was on the board, and I could just make out what looked like a profile of someone, and at the top of the page, was a picture of the man from our dorm. So that's how they let us go! At V.W.S.C, they must have information about everyone, so when we remember our memories and who we are, they can quiz us to confirm that we are not lying about recovering our memories in order to get out quicker! That is so smart, I feel extremely stupid for thinking they did it any other way. Next to go was the American woman who, apart from me, was the only person who asked any questions when Amelia visited. According to her, because she felt the need to share everything to the rest of the group, her name was Harriet, and she was from North Carolina, and she had a husband and three beautiful and wonderful, her words not mine, children. She had a well paying job as elementary school teacher, and was part of her local neighbourhood watch. If I'm being honest, that sounds like actually quite a boring, average life, but she did just recover her memories so I can understand why she was so happy and excited. After that, one by one, people remembered who they are and left, until the only people left were me, and a girl who looked around my age. The long days we were together for felt very awkward, and I'm not too sure why. We hadn't had an argument or anything of that sort, so we weren't angry at each other. But every time I would accidentally make eye contact her, we would both look away immediately. Don't even get me started on the fact that we hadn't talked for days, that I couldn't remember if I had a voice or not. Wait, that's probably why it was so awkward. Because we never talked. My god, I feel stupid again.

"So, what's your name?" I heard a small voice call out from across the room. I glanced up and my eyes were met with those of the other girl. I suddenly felt so bad because she looked so scared to talk, and I can't even imagine the amount of courage she had to build up just to ask that question. "Y/N, what's yours?" I answered. "Faye" She answered back with a slight smile. "Nice to meet you Faye." I said as I stuck my hand out for her to shake. "Nice to meet you too Y/N" she replied taking my hand graciously. Over the next few hours, we talked back and forth getting to know each other, and shared our experiences in the simulation. Soon enough, the room was filled with laughter and it was almost as if we had known each other our whole lives. However, despite how happy I felt talking with Faye, I couldn't help but be reminded of someone else. How we would talk for hours just like this, and laugh for hours just like this. And of course, how he made me happy just like this. Faye quickly noticed my change in behaviour and how I suddenly looked deep in thought and rather distraught. "Hey, are you ok?" she asked, her voice full of concern for me. "Yeah, I'm fine, sorry , it's just this is reminding me a lot of someone from the simulation." I answered quickly, noticing I kind of just ruined the atmosphere. Faye, however, seemed to immediately know that this person wasn't exactly a friend like she was, and she could tell that this person meant a lot more to me than a normal friend would. "What was their name?" she asked, hoping talking about them would brighten my mood. I answered quickly, feeling a rush of relief as it was the first time I had said his name out loud since the simulation. "Xinlong"
