WAITING FOR YOU

"Hey, Minnie where are you going? Why are you all dressed up?" Eunjung asked her best friend after seeing her like she's going on a date.
"I'm going on a date" Hyomin answered
"Again? With whom this time?" Eunjung asked that made Hyomin cringed her face because of her tone
"Yah! Why do you make it sound like this is a hobby of mine or something?" Hyomin asked feeling annoyed
"Because it is your hobby" Soyeon answered upon entering the room with Boram
"Hi Soyeon unnie. Hi Boram unnie!" Eunjung greeted the two with a smile
"Hello Eunjung-ah" Boram answered back
"Yah, unnie. It's not and it's not my fault if many people wanted to date me" Hyomin answered while putting her lipstick on
"Many people wanted to date me too, Minnie but it's not like I wanted to go out with them all" Eunjung answered while flipping a page of a magazine
"We're different. You're waiting while I'm not. You're tying yourself to someone who doesn't even see you as a lover material. She only sees you as an older sister and nothing more" Hyomin answered her that made Eunjung look at them
She saw the three looking at her intently.
"Until when will you keep waiting for Jiyeonie, Jungie? It's not like she'll see you differently when she comes back" Soyeon asked her with a sad voice
Eunjung let out a sigh
"Why don't you try dating someone? Give a chance to others who really likes you" Boram suggested
"Someone like who?" she asked tiredly
"How about Mina? She's a nice girl and she's really interested in you"
"And she has a killer body too, Jungie" Hyomin said then smirked
"How'd you know that?"
"I just know" Hyomin answered then wink
Eunjung got what Hyomin was trying to imply with her statement
"Yah! Don't tell me?!"
"Tell you what?" Soyeon asked still clueless
Hyomin just answered them with a loud laugh
"Omo?! You didn't?!" Eunjung still said in disbelief
"What's going on?" Boram asked Eunjung
"Tssss... Don't push Mina on me, Hyomin already got her" Eunjung said then gave Hyomin a glare which the latter just gave a peace sign.
The couple Soyeon and Boram just gave Hyomin a look.
"What? It's not like I force her besides she said she enjoyed our time so all is well" Hyomin said then laugh again
"Don't mind her, Jungie"
"How about Yoona? She likes you since the day we introduced her to you" Boram suggested
"Nah?! If i were you, I won't date her" Hyomin answered them
The three looked at her again.
"What?! I didn't touch her? I just went out with her on a date and my god you won't believe how speechless I was the entire time" Hyomin said
"What do you mean?" Boram asked
"That girl never stop talking! From the beginning until we separate ways, I was so relieved when I got home and I realized how I should value silence sometimes" Hyomin said that made the three laugh out.
"Well I wouldn't want that for myself and I know you guys just wanna help me get over my feelings for Jiyeonie and I really do appreciate this but I'm not really interested in dating someone now. Anyway, I gotta go. Mom called, she wanted me to come with her somewhere. I'll be back tonight" Eunjung said to the three then get out of Hyomin's room.
After getting out, she let out a sigh. The truth is she got nowhere to go. Her mom didn't call and ask her but she just tells them that so that they'd stop pushing her to date. She really wanted to do that too but everytime Jiyeon's with her, seems like the plan of dating someone new just fades away instantly.
Eunjung walk out of their dorm and was walking with her head off to somewhere when she got bump into someone. The girl fell down so she helped her quickly to get and apologize too.
"Omo?! Are you hurt? I'm so sorry" she said while stuttering.
The girl smiled first and that smile caught Eunjung's attention.
"Omo?! She's beautiful" she said to herself
"It's fine. I'm fine, it's my fault too"
"Ah, yeah. Are you okay now?"
"Yes I am. Anyway, can I ask you something?"
"Sure, what is it?"
"By any chance, are you Eunjung?"
Eunjung crooked her forehead by the girl's question.
"Ahm, yes. How'd you know? I don't remember meeting you before"
"Oh?! I'm Shannon, I'm Jiyeon's cousin"
"Jiyeon? You're her cousin? I didn't know she has a foreign cousin"
"Well about that, we just recently known each other and it was really a long story. Anyway, she's right. You're handsome for a girl. Glad to finally met you"
"Oh?! Haha... Likewise"
"Anyway, she's back. We've just arrived yesterday. She wanna surprise you guys but guess I spill it out first" Shannon said then laugh that made Eunjung laugh.
"Unnie?"
"Uh?! Jiyeonie? What are you doing here?" Eunjung said in shock
"I've arrived yesterday. How'd you know my cousin?"
"Oh?! We just met a while ago"
"You look good unnie" Jiyeon compliments her that made Eunjung blush
"Ah, ani. You look more beautiful now"
"Aish., unnie aren't you forgetting something?"
"Huh?! Mwo?"
"My hug!?"
"Ah!?" Eunjung shyly said then gave her a hug.
Jiyeon hug Eunjung tighter. How she missed her hug and the smell of her perfume. Being hug by her now feels like she's really home.
"Jiyeon"
The two broke their hug when they heard a man's voice calling Jiyeon's name.
Jiyeon went to the guy and clung her arms in his waist that made Eunjung's heart broke into pieces.
"Anyway I gotta go, something important came up. Bye" Eunjung said then left in a rush.
While she's walking tears are dropping from her eyes.
"I'm too late. She's with someone now" she said to herself.
Eunjung didn't know how she got home because her mind is nowhere to be found. She cried all night and when the morning comes, she woke up with her friend's voices around her room.
"Yah! You're all too noisy!" she complained to them
"What happened to your eyes Jungie?!" Hyomin asks her
Eunjung didn't answer them, she lays down in the bed again
"Jiyeon's back"
"We know. We've met her and her cousins"
"Have you met her boyfriend too?!" Eunjung ask feeling hurt
"Boyfriend? She has a boyfriend?" Soyeon asks the others
"We haven't and we didn't know she has one" Qri answered
Eunjung open up her eyes again upon hearing the unfamiliar voice
"Lee Qri?! What are you doing here?"
"Oh?! She's with me Jungie"
"I'm her girlfriend now" Qri answered with attitude
"Tsss! I didn't know your standards got low now, Minnie"
"Yah!"
"Hey stop you two. Can't you just get along?"
"We can if she got over with the fact that I rejected her before"
"Yah! I got over you because I'm cutie pretty Qri unlike you who can't get over Jiyeon, Baekgu!" Qri retaliates
Eunjung became speechless because of Qri's statement.
"You know, if you really want her then make it clear. Tell her the truth that you like her, be brave cause if I were Jiyeon I wouldn't date someone who's weak like you" Qri said that shock them all
"Who I should not date?" Jiyeon asks upon entering Eunjung's room
"Her" Qri answered while pointing out Eunjung that shocked them more
"Oh?! And why is that?" Jiyeon asks then gave a smirked
"Because she's not brave enough to tell you that she loves you for too long enough now" Qri answered
"Oh?! Is it now?"
"I think you two should have a talk. This conversation is way too expired now" Qri said to Jiyeon then faced Hyomin
"C'mon babe. Let's go now" she said pulling Hyomin's hand.
"We're coming with you" Soyeon said while pulling Boram
Eunjung doesn't know what to do now that she and Jiyeon was the only one left in her room
"Jungie" Jiyeon while approaching her
"Ah?! I'd better go wash up first" Eunjung said then quickly get up from the bed.
"Ah?! Yeah, right"
"I'll be back"
"Sure. Don't worry, I'm just right here. I'm not going anywhere" Jiyeon said after sitting in her bed.
Upon entering her bathroom, she gave out a long breath out.
"What just happened? Omo?!I'll kill that Qri for spilling out my secret!"
She was almost done when she heard Jiyeon played the song when they first met 8 years ago.
When she got out of the bathroom, she saw Jiyeon is sitting in her bed while her eyes are close and humming on the song. She then smile at the beautiful view in front of her that she didn't noticed Jiyeon is looking at her now.
"I guess, you've waited long enough for me, Jungie"
"Mwo?! Jungie?"
"I know that you like me. Well I guess you love me because you've waited for me this long am I right?"
"What are you saying?" Eunjung tries to avoid the conversation
"Stop pretending that you don't know what I'm saying Jungie. I know you love me, you may deny it with words but not with your actions" Jiyeon said while pinning Eunjung down to her closet.
Eunjung let out a sigh before looking straight to Jiyeon's eyes.
"Yes. I love you, Jiyeon. I've loved you for as long as I can remember and I didn't know why or when it started but I just felt that I wanna be with you all the time. I wanna make you happy that's why I do things beyond a best friend would do. I got jealous if you're with someone else because it hurts me. I know I can't have you because you only see me as an older sister but I can't help what I feel and I would understand if you'll gonna hate me after this"
"Who says I would hate you? I've known all along that you love me"
"Mwo?"
"I already knew that even before I left to have my studies abroad. The truth is I like you too even before but I just wanna make sure that what you've felt for me is real not just you feel it because I'm around you. I want someone who I can trust even when I'm not around. Someone who's not gonna change what she feel because of the distance"
"Is this real?"
"It's very real besides I didn't made a deal with Qri for you to get away from me"
"Qri? What does she got to do with us?" she asked
"It's a long story. Anyway, so where we're we? Ah?! Yeah, so now that I'm back I wanna make us now official. I love you, Jungie and I want you to be my girlfriend from now on"
"Mwo?"
"Do you want me or not?"
"Of course I want you"
"Now, you're mine. I love you, Jungie" Jiyeon said then kiss Eunjung.
They shared a passionate kiss and when Jiyeon broke it off, Eunjung can't help to ask who's the man Jiyeon clung her arms into yesterday.
"Oh?! That's my cousin Mike. He's Shannon's brother. Why?"
"Oh?! I thought"
"You thought he's my boyfriend?"
"Uhm?!"
"Oh?! That's why you just ran off like that" Jiyeon said then laugh out loud.
Eunjung just cringed her face and pout.
"You're so cute when you're jealous" Jiyeon said then laugh again.
Eunjung then switch their places and now Jiyeon was the one who's back is leaning the closet door.
"It's not funny making me jealous. And now that you're officially mine, don't even think of doing it again. I'm a jealous type of a girlfriend and I don't want anyone be close to you like that again. You're mine and mine alone" Eunjung said then kissed Jiyeon intensely which the latter respond with equal passion.
"I love you, Jiyeon. It's you that I wanted from then until now and I'm sure it will always be you until the end"
"I love you too, Jungie. Thank you for waiting for me"
"Because you're worth the wait"
Then they hug each other feeling contented in each other's arms.

EPILOGUE :
"So, the two of you dated before?" Hyomin asked Qri feeling pissed about it.
"Well I liked her before but then she rejected me because of Jiyeon that's why I confronted Jiyeon on why won't she date Eunjung when she's an ideal type of a girlfriend"
"She's what?"
"For me she's an ideal girlfriend. She's the total opposite of you"
"So what does that makes me?" Hyomin ask feeling more pissed about that fact.
Yes she gotta admit that Eunjung and her are like two opposite poles. Eunjung is the Ms. goody two shoes while she's the bad ass best friend but that what makes their friendship unique. They understand each other very well.
"Well with you, I feel more alive. Being with you makes it more exciting because many people want you but yet you choose to be with me and I want it to slam in their faces from time to time besides my deal with Jiyeon is finish now that she's back"
"Wait! What do you mean by that?" Boram asked Qri
"Well we became friends after I confront her then we made a deal that if I keep Eunjung from having a girlfriend till she comes back, she'll give me anything that I want in return"
"And what is that?" Hyomin asked her
"A vacation for three days in Jeju with my special someone who is now you, Minnie!" Qri said then laugh cutely.
"Wah!? Jinjja? That's so awesome, Kyul!"
"Wait, what do you mean keeping Eunjung from having a girlfriend?" Soyeon is now the one asking.
"Oh?! I'm sabotaging her dates from now and then. It's a long story but it's all worth it now that Hyomin is mine"
"That's so evil, but I like it" Hyomin said then laugh
"I know right" Qri answered then laugh with her.
Soyeon and Boram gave the two an awkward look.
"These couple is creepy, Sso"
"Yeah, I couldn't agree with you more. We should get out of here, Rambo" Soyeon said then slowly pull Boram out of the café.
When the two are walking in the street, they can't help but think how Eunjung and Jiyeon are doing now.
"I would be happy if Jiyeon finally gave Eunjung a chance" Boram said to Soyeon.
"I think she'll make things right this time" Soyeon answered her then gave her a smile before holding Boram's hand which made the latter smile too.
