(JiKyul One Shot)

"Hey baby, are you okay?" Eunjung ask Jiyeon after seeing her being anxious.
Jiyeon just smile at her as an answer.
"If you don't want to do this, I will understand"
"No. It's the right thing to do and I can't really run from it. To be honest I'm more worried on what you're feeling right now" Jiyeon said to Eunjung.
"I'm sorry that you had to go through this because of me"
Eunjung smiled first before gently pressing Jiyeon's hand.
"You know how much I love you right? I can handle this and I want you to not consider what would I feel when you're going to make a decision. I want your happiness even if you won't get that from me" Eunjung said while having a sad look in her eyes.
Jiyeon tried her best not to cry. She doesn't know how she got into this situation. She had finally found love and peace in Eunjung's arms but how did they end up in this mess.
One force cough caught both of Eunjung and Jiyeon's attention and they both know from whom it came.
Eunjung then let go of Jiyeon's hand then gently kiss her forehead.
"Don't rush making a decision okay? Just know that whatever it is, I'll be fine" she said before walking away.
After Eunjung left, Jiyeon look at Qri.
She's still stunning like before. Qri is her first love. The one she loved so much before. It's been years yet the pain of being left behind by Qri is still there in her heart.
"Why did you come back?" Jiyeon asks her.
"It's gonna be my twin's wedding so naturally I need to comeback"
"You knew right?"
Qri looked at her with a sad eyes.
"I know she likes you since the beginning. Way before we even date back then but you love me that's why I didn't back down on her even after knowing it"
"Why didn't you tell me that you had a twin?"
"Because we're not close. Eunjung and I grew up apart because of our parents since they decided to take one each after their divorce. I just met her when we're in college and that time we are madly in love with each other that even after knowing that she likes you too, I didn't back down and got angry for that but she being herself just told me she's not going after you because she knows we love each other. On the night I got on that accident and I needed an operation, she's the one who gave everything that is needed. The blood and the liver that I got now, it all came from her. She didn't ask anything out of it and that made me feel ashamed for treating her like an enemy"
"Then why did you leave me? You promised that we'll stick together no matter what. What happened? Did you just fall out of love?" Jiyeon asks while crying now.
Qri felt guilty seeing Jiyeon in this state. She loves her and it didn't stop even after all the years have passed. She wanted to go to her. She wanted to comfort her but at the same time, she doesn't wanna do it. She already made a decision to let her go and be happy with Eunjung even though it's killing her from the inside. Jiyeon and her twin Eunjung deserves to be happy.
"You're right. I just woke up one day that I don't love you anymore. I just don't feel that it's you I want to spend my life with. I realized that after having a near death. I shouldn't focus myself on just being on your side" Qri answered while looking away from Jiyeon.
"You're lying! I know you still love me"
Qri smile sadly before facing her again wearing a smirked on her lips.
"Jiyeon, we're not kids anymore. My life doesn't revolve to you now and you need to accept that. Besides, you're marrying Eunjung. What?! You'll gonna break up with her just to be with me?" Qri asked arrogantly.
"If that's the only way I can be with you again then I will. I can talk to Eunjung about it. She will be hurt and I know that but she knows who you are to me" Jiyeon said firmly.
Qri tried to hide a smile because even though she's happy knowing that, it's just not right. She doesn't wanna hurt Eunjung. She owes her life to her and even though the latter doesn't ask anything in return, she just wants to give back to all of what she did for her.
"Stop being pathetic. I can't stand you being too dramatic over me. It's not like I'm gonna come back because of what you said. Us being together is impossible"
"How can you say these things to me? What did I do wrong for you to hurt me like this?!" Jiyeon asks while tears keep flowing from her eyes.
Qri tighten her fist. It's painful seeing Jiyeon being like this. She's really giving her best to not succumb on what she feel. If only they had different circumstances, she'll never let her go.
"Forget about me. I'm not worthy of you, you deserve better. You deserve Eunjung and I know she'll never hurt you. She'll never abandon you like I did. Don't you love her?"
"I do but I love you more and after seeing you I realized it hasn't changed" Jiyeon answered honestly.
"I'm sorry but we can never turn back time now. I just don't feel the same about you anymore" Qri said then look away again.
Jiyeon let out a sigh before wiping her tears then look at the back of her former lover. It no use begging Qri to stay with her. She was willing to give everything up just to be with her but it seems the Qri who loves her before is really gone. This person she's with is just a stranger with a familiar face. What she said is right, Eunjung maybe the one she really needed. She's the one who's been with her on those dark days. When she hits the rock bottom, Eunjung was the one who remains at her side, not Qri. The person she loved the most was the same person who left her without a word. She feels like a lost puppy on the day she woke up and Qri just vanished without a trace. Jiyeon smiled sadly after remembering what she had gone through because of her love for Qri.
"You're right. I should stop being a pathetic fool who still believe that you're the same person I once loved. Maybe the Qri I loved really died in that accident. What you said about me who doesn't deserved someone like you, I now realize that it's also true. You're not worthy of my love. I guess who you are now is just somebody I used to love in the past. Thank you for clearing my mind and narrowing my choices that you don't really deserve a place in my life"
Jiyeon then decided to leave. After talking with Qri, there's nothing else she could do but to let go of her past and look forward on the future where someone like Eunjung loves her.
"Farewell, Kyul. Although I still love you, I know I deserve to be happy. I deserve to be love. The same goes for Eunjung. She deserves my loyalty. She deserves my best because she's the one who stayed even at my worst" Jiyeon said before walking away but Qri held her hand that made the latter look at her.
"I'm sorry" Qri said and now her tears are falling in her eyes.
Jiyeon just look at her then gently removed Qri's grip on her.
"Goodbye, Kyul. Don't worry, this time. I'm leaving you for good" Jiyeon answered before walking away.
Qri's tears run like a waterfall while looking at Jiyeon walking out not only in this place but in her life generally. It's the price she needs to pay for everybody's happiness, only she was not included on that.
