I Am Feeling

She is crying and it's hurting me.
Jamie.
I wish I was a human.
Please stop crying, Jamie.
I kneel down next to the bed she is lying on and my hand reaches up to touch her, but my hand glides through her skin and I pull back.
Jamie, I'm so sorry.
She is crying and I cry with her.
Suddenly she opens her eyes and they meet mine.
I should leave but I can't when she is hurting.
'You're here again.', she whispers and I close my eyes as if in pain.
Of course she realized.
She is the most perceptive fifteen-year-old in this world.
'I ought to go', I say quietly, but she gribs my hand.
'Stay', she says, but my eyes are on our joined hands. How is that possible? I turn my hand so I can hold hers properly, and I start crying heavier, when I actually feel her skin against mine.
'Jamie', I whimper and then she sits up, leans forward and hugs me.
I think I'm dreaming when my arms slide around her waist.
I've never hugged anyone ever before.
