Talk with Liam

On your side :
You go see Liam.
You : « Liam ? What are you doing here ? » with a closed face.
Liam : « you didn't answer my texts, so... »

The fans see him, and some of them who were there the night of the gala recognize him. Within minutes, all the fans know who he is.
You : « well- um wait, come, there are too many people here » seeing that everyone is looking at you.
So you guys leave the room and go outside, behind the building. There are stairs, so you sit there.

You : « Liam, if I didn't answer you it was for a reason » cold.
Liam : « yeah but we could have met to talk about what happened at the gala at least »
You : « I know what happened, you guys got into a fight »
Liam : « and so you decided not to talk to me anymore but to him you talk again- oh btw, nice song » jealous.
You raise your eyes, then look away sighing.
Liam : « no need to raise your eyes, it's the truth. You keep talking to the guy who cheated on you y/n. »
You : « Liam. » offended and disappointed.
Liam : « sorry but it's the truth. Open your eyes, you'll never get over him like that »
You : « mind your own business. »
Liam : « but it's my business. »
You look at him.
Liam : « ...y/n, you're a very cool girl, you're funny, you're beautiful, you've got everything for yourself and- »
You : « Liam, no »
Liam : « I love spending time with you and ofc I tried to take my time and not rush you because I know what you had with him, I know it was complicated for you, but yeah, I love you, and not just a little »
You : « Liam- »
Liam : « y/n, give me a chance... you deserve better »
You : « ...no » shaking your head a little.
Liam : « please.. let me prove you I'm right » getting closer to you.
You : « no Liam.. » gently pushing him away with your hand.
Liam : « why ? We live too far away, that's why ? Because if that's the case- »
You : « I'm in love with Payton » looking him in the eyes.
Liam : « ...but- »
You : « you should leave » getting up, about to leave.
Liam : « nah wait- » getting up and grabbing your arm.
You : « Liam, leave »
Liam : « no, you need to know that you have another option »
You : « stop with that- »
Suddenly, he pulls you towards him, puts his hand on your cheek and kisses you. You push him away.
You : « Liam. » shocked and mad at him.
Liam : « ...you'll never stop suffering with him » resigned.
You look at him without saying anything.
He looks at you, sad and disappointed, then leaves.

You stand there for a few seconds, then go back inside. The fans look at you and notice that you are not very well.
Fan 1 : « y/n, are you okay ? »
You : « I am, thanks » faking a smile.
Fan 2 : « you sure ? »
You : « yeah it's okay, dw »
You walk past them fairly quickly then go into the break room.

Meanwhile, in the break room :
Payton is sitting on a chair and his leg is shaking nervously.
Chase : « calm down bro »
Payton : « this guy is an asshole »
Jaden : « let y/n handle it »
Payton : « what if he- »
Cynthia : « Payton, it's okay »
Payton : « I don't like knowing she's alone with him »
Josh : « we know, but wait for her here »
He stays two seconds without doing anything but he does not want to leave you alone with him so he gets up and is about to leave the room.
Jackson : « Payton- »
But when he opens the door, you are right behind it and were about to go in, so you suddenly stop.
You look at him and then go into his arms, sighing a little.
Payton : « what's wrong ? »
You : « nothing » kind of relieved.
He wraps his arms around you and holds you tight. You put your head against his chest. You feel so good.

Cynthia and Madi look at each other and do a fist bump :

Cynthia : « finally » in a low voice.
Payton turns his head and looks at her, as does everyone else.
Cynthia : « hummm well, shall we go ? » coughing a little.
Madi : « yeah, we have to... right guys ? » looking for an excuse, looking at the others.
Jackson : « oh um yeah, well, see you later » to you and Payton.
They all leave the room and leave the two of you.

You sit on chairs facing each other.
Payton : « you sure there's nothing wrong ? »
You : « ...yeah »
Payton : « what did he do to you ? »
You : « ...it doesn't matter »
Payton : « he kissed you, didn't he ? »
You : « ..yeah, but I pushed him away, it's- »
Payton : « fuck. » trying to contain himself.
You : « we won't see him again, he left »
You see him all agitated.
You : « can you calm down ? »
Payton : « he's really-... » annoyed.
You : « he really left, so stop »
He looks at you and then calms down a bit.
You : « well, shall we join the others ? »
Payton : « uhm »

You go join everyone in the main room. You do some tiktoks and videos with the fans, and talk to them.
And a few minutes later, Cynthia, Madi and Talia come to see you.
Cynthia : « so ??? » smiling, all excited.
You : « so what ? »
Madi : « you and Payton, stupid »
You : « well.. we talked »
Talia : « and ? »
You : « and that's all »
Cynthia : « no, come on girl, you guys didn't get back together ? »
Madi : « disappointing » 😐
You : « no »
Talia : « but it's coming soon, right ? »
They look at you very attentively.
You : « ...idk » smiling a bit shy.
Cynthia : « aah I knew it ! » all happy.
You : « I didn't say- »
Trent comes to tell you that everything is ready for dinner.
Cynthia : « well, finally a good news, come on, let's go eat now » 😌

You each go sit at your table with some fans. The others talk and laugh with them, but you are a little absent, lost in your thoughts.
The fans obviously notice and are a little worried about you.

Fan 1 : « y/n ? »
You : « uhm ?.. » coming back to reality.
Fan 1 : « you okay ? »
You : « omg I'm sorry, I'm not here at all... I-... whatever, sorry »
Fan 2 : « no it's okay dw, but we're a little worried about you... »
You : « oh no, no dw, I'm fine, it's okay » with a little smile.
Fan 3 : « sure ? »
You look at Payton in the distance.
You : « uhum... » nodding.
So you start talking with them about everything and nothing (they avoid talking about Payton so as not to make you uncomfortable), and you end up having a good time with them and forgetting about all these stories.
