Chapter 13

Kageyama sat outside so his alpha scent wouldn't cause the omega even more distress. Ennoshita ran his hand through Shiro's hair while Suga scented him and whispered quietly. Yamaguchi was on the phone with Sato. (Shiro's dad) Naturally, like any good parent he lost it when his precious child hadn't returned yet. 

"Thank you Tadashi, I'm on my way."

He turned back hoping he'd awaken. Hinata spoke again and so did Ennoshita this time. The minutes felt like forever but the omega whined and opened his eyes. Suga teared  up and hugged him. Hinata sniffed hugged even harder.

"I'm so sorry Shiro! If I checked my phone sooner we could've saved you!"

"What?"

"You dropped and Kageyama texted the group chat! When you didn't wake. I. I thought you died!"

Suga wailed as Yamaguchi patted his shoulder to let Shiro have some room. He blinked and crawled over to Ennoshita and Hinata who picked him up and hugged him together scenting him. 

"Who the hell did this!"

Kageyama nearly went feral once he realized the implications. Shiro turned his head and reached out to pat his head. His pupils slowly went normal again and steadied his breathing. Still angry but not scaring them. His hands shook as he fantasized about what he'd do to the alpha that traumatized the omega.

"Kageyama called your dad. He should be here soon." Ennoshita 

And just like that, they could hear thundering leather shoes sprinting to the classroom where Shiro was. Suga gathered the other omegas and Kageyama to the end of the room to prevent any misdirected hostility from the alpha. Kageyama tried to lessen his alpha pheromones and allow Suga to overpower it with his lavender scent. Taiko (his dad.) ran straight to him and scooped him up. 

Fear and distress quickly filled the room from the alpha father. Shiro whined from the strong alpha pheromones taking over again. He nuzzled his neck and swiftly left after a fast thank you to the boys. His heart was beating a mile a minute. Sweating all over. Taiko was so panicked and focused at the same time that he didn't even notice if he happen to run a red light.

Shiro was resting with his eyes closed, wincing every so often. After forever the car stopped in front of a tree by the gate and he was picked up and hurriedly placed on his dad's bed. He gripped the pillow and curled in. Very carefully, Taiko slowly climbed in to cradle his son.

"I'm here Shiro. I'm here son. It's okay."

He repeated it over and over into silence. He started crying when he remembered how Shiro would tell him to let it all out. "Its not good to hold it in" he always told him. It wasn't that killing people and stuff got to him. But now he had a child of his own and he would hear the pleas of victims begging to be spared because they had families of their own. Taiko used to think how pathetic it was. They cried because he fired a bullet between their eyes. They cried because a wife or husband would have to go on alone. Raising their children by themselves. 

They cried because they never got to see their little girls and boys grow up and celebrate the milestones together. Maybe I deserve this but not him. At some point, exhaustion came and they slept till late morning.

Suga called his dad and explained there was emergency and he agreed to pick them up. Sighing,  he looked back to see how everyone was doing. Kageyama was sitting in the corner and surprisingly allowed the omegas to lean or sit against him for comfort and stability. It was a scary experience.

Looking out the window, he saw his dad's car. They left the classroom in a single file. Kageyama was more aware of the environment and Hinata because if there was danger, there were no other alphas present. He felt that it was his duty to ensure their safety to Mr. Suga. 

"Koushi! Are you boys alright?"

"Yeah."

"Thank you very much for picking us up Suga's dad!" Hinata

"Of course. Let's get you boys home. You're parents are worried."

His car wasn't big but they squeezed in. Yamaguchi was first since he lived further away from them. Then Ennoshita who had Tanaka waiting outside. Hinata and Kageyama lived a few streets apart and walked together. Suga's dad saw in the rear view mirror his crestfallen expression. Lightly sighing to himself, he drove them to a 24 hour supermarket with a hot deli. Suga looked out, surprised to see they were at the Family Mart and got out.

"Their meatbuns are second best to Ukai's."

Bag in hand, they returned home. He watched Koushi solemnly walk down the hall to his room before turning to Yua, his wife. She was clearly distressed and the alpha pheremones went straight up his nostrils. She was frightened something happened to him when he suddenly left with mismatched shoes and car keys. They met in college and while dating, Yua quickly realized how often Kiyoshi was bullied and mistreated by other students and faculty staff. Male omegas aren't super rare but are looked down upon by other males and society in general unfortunately.

Yua raised hell with administrators when they ignored his complaints or accused him of making it all up. One by one, she took care of each alpha and/or omega that hurt him. Life became much more bearable for Kiyoshi and Yua who eventually married in their senior year of college. They moved to Miyagi and had their only child, Koushi. Naturally she feared that someone from college or school threatened Kiyoshi again.

"Kiyoshi? Please. Talk to me!"

"I. Koushi called saying Shiro was attacked by an alpha. The first years and second year went with him and stayed with him. Taiko took him and I dropped off everyone else at home. I also stopped at the Family Mart to get him some meat buns."

"Is everyone safe and at home now?"

"Don't worry Yua. I made sure someone was at home for them. I know you must've been worried."

"Damn right I am! I thought those horrible people from your past were back for you!"

She was careful to not release large amounts of anger pheromones because he could misinterpret as anger towards him. Being married and living with two omegas taught you alot as an alpha. Hand in hand, they knocked on Koushi's door. He opened it and let them in. The family spent the rest of the night together cuddling each other until they fell asleep.
