Chapter Nine (Familiar Scent)

Author's POV

As the two finished their meals, Joohyun immediately stood up and entered her chambers. The Omega grabbed the book that she was reading earlier and sat on the chair inside the room. As she continued reading the book in her hand, she took a quick glance at the alpha who was now pushing the cart inside. She saw Seulgi looking at her as she instantly averted her eyes back to the book in her hands, pretending to read it.

"Ummh. Should I summon Lady Kim to prepare and assist you in your bath, Your Highness?" said Seulgi. Joohyun looked at her as she placed the book on the top of the bed.

"No need. Seul, is it okay for you to help me with my bath?"Joohyun asked while starring at the alpha waiting for an answer. Seulgi seems startled as she hears what the princess just asked her to do. She feels her body beginning to heat up as she fixes her posture and manages to answer the princess's question. It is just a bath Seulgi. What could go wrong? She said to herself. "Y-yes, y-your h-highness, it is my d-duty to help y-you." She managed to say. It was evident from her voice that she was nervous. Joohyun let out a small chuckle when she heard the alpha's stuttering voice as she answered. "Your highness, may I excuse myself for a moment. I will be quick. I'll be back in an instant to help you with your bath. I promise." Seulgi said, The princess just nodded as her answer.

Seulgi then pushed the cart through the door as she stepped outside the room. She fastened her phase as she went to the palace kitchen to search for Lady Kim. Unfortunately, the said lady wasnt there anymore. She rushed to go back to the princess chamber because she does not want the princess to wait for her for too long. As she was in a rush and clearly not in herself, she didnt notice the girl walking In the opposite direction of the hallway, The alpha was startled as she bumped into the said girl.
The girl fell down on the floor because of the impact. "My lady I am so sorry. I didnt mean to. I was in a hurry. Thats why I didnt see you." She managed to say as she helped the said girl to stand."It's okay Seulgi unnie, so what's the rush?" The girl said, smiling at seulgi."It is just that I really need to go back to her highness Joohyun's chamber to help her take a bath. I didnt know what to do. Thats why I searched for Lady Kim in the kitchen, but sadly she wasnt there anymore. So I decided to go back instead, but then I stumbled upon you. Would you help me, Lady Heejin?" Seulgi explains to the girl. She was lucky that the said girl was Heejin. Heejin was the younger sister of Lady Kim. She has a very joyful personality. A smile is always plastered on her face. Heejin is a good friend of the youngest princess. Yerim always enjoyed the presence of the girl as they were at the same age. "Ofcoures Unnie, what is it? If it is about her highness Joohyun's bath, she does not like many people assisting her. I have never assisted her in her bath, but I always see sweet scented oils being carried inside her room. She might be into sweet smells."Heejin answered.
"Thank you my lady, it really helps. I am really glad that I bumped into you. I am really sorry about that part. My lady, if you may excuse me, I really need to go. Her highness must have waited for me for too long."said Seulgi as she bid her goodbye.

She fastened her phase till she arrived at Joohyun's chambers. She faced the wooden door and knocked. She opened the door and faced the princess."Your Highness I am sorry for taking so long. I will prepare your bath now." She apologized to the Princess. Joohyun nodded as an answer. She bowed and hurried inside the bathroom. She filled the tub with water. She scanned the room for the scented oil that Heejin mentioned earlier. She rushed to one of the shelves. There were many scented oils. She picked up the scent that the princess might like. She picked vanilla and lavender. She went back to the tub and poured both scents into the water. The scent smells like Joohyun, She walked back to the shelf as she saw some flowers. She figured out that the princess might like flowers in her bath. She picked up some flowers and scattered them in the water. When she seems satisfied with her work, she walks to the door and calls out Joohyun. "Your highness, your bath is ready." She said to the Princess, Joohyun stood up on her seat and walked into the bathroom as the alpha followed her inside.

Joohyun stops in her tracks as she unties her night gown as it slowly falls from her shoulder down to her back till it reaches the bathroom floor. The Alpha's eyes widen as she watches the Princess strip down her clothes. Her naked back was in full view.

"I miss this scent. Where did you find this citrusy scent?" The princess suddenly spoke. She turned around to face Seulgi. Seulgi immediately closed her eyes. Joohyun walked close to Seulgi. She held the Alpha's face as she rubbed her thumb on Seulgi's cheeks to calm her down. "Hey, look at me. It's okay to look." As soon as Seulgi opens her eyes, she meets the calming eyes of Joohyun. Seulgi's eyes darken as she sees the whole naked body of the Princess. She lowly growls, fighting the urge to touch the princess. Now she realizes that the effect of the suppressant must have been whorn off as she forgot to drink again this morning. She knows that she must control herself and calm her ass down. The Princess turns her back on Seulgi and starts walking till she reaches the wooden tub. She steps inside the tub with a smile plastered on her face. Seulgi shakes her head, taking a deep breath. It's okay, Seul. Stay focused and just copy what Seungwan always does. She said to herself.

She started to pour water on the princess's shoulders using her hand as she started to touch Joohyun's collarbone area. Her hands accidentally brushed the upper part of the princess's chest. An unexpected noise was heard from the princess. A moan from Joohyun was heard by Seulgi. That made her stop in an instant."I am sorry. Did I hurt you your highness?" Seulgi asked. The princess simply said no. Seulgi continued her work as she was feeling hot. Minutes later, Joohyun noticed that Seulgi was sweating hard. Her forehead had sweat dripping on it. She lifts her hand and wipes the sweat on the alpha's forehead. It comes to her that Seulgi seems uncomfortable."Seul, have you ever fallen in love before?" She suddenly asked to release the tension between them. Seulgi lifted her head and stared right through her eyes. Then she smiled bitterly." Yes, your highness, she was my first love. I loved her so much with all of my heart, but in the end, she left me without a word." Seulgi said, sadness was evident in her words. Joohyun's eyes started to water as she heard what the alpha said. Maybe it was not a good question when she knew that the answer would only hurt her. "Why do you think the reason she left you?" She asked again. "I met her when I was five. Maybe she does'nt love me back." As Seulgi said the last part, Joohyun saw that the girl was about to cry. It's not true that she does not love her back. Seulgi stood up from her seat and rushed to grab the bathtowel. Tears were flowing down her cheeks. She stopped for a moment to wipe her tears. Her back was facing Joohyun. She did not want the princess to see her like that. She was about to move but then she heard the princess speak."I stole something from you last night. Should I return it?" Seulgi panicked and searched her pockets to see if the bottle was still there. Joohyun stood up from the tub and walked closer to Seulgi. Seulgi was surprised to see Joohyun in front of her as she turned around. Seulgi was shocked when the princess wrapped her arms around her neck. And bring her down into a kiss. She closed her eyes when she felt Joohyun's soft lips being pressed against her. Their lips were connected like a puzzel Her mind was clouded by the glorious smell invading her nose as she unconsiously wrapped her arms around the princess's naked body while responding to Joohyun's kisses. Their movements were in sync. She was creasing Joohyun's back as she heard the princess moaned between their kisses. When air becomes a problem, Joohyun breaks the kiss and stares into Seulgi's eyes.
