As everyone made their ways to their beds, two lie awake. One energetic, annoying, but thoughtful. The other quiet, mysterious, and introverted. What would they talk about before their brains fell susceptible to sleep?

Ashe was enjoying a medical book under the lamplight of the little desk lamp he brought on his bed, while Wilardo was just staring at the ceiling, getting lost in his thoughts.

"Wilardo, I noticed you weren't exactly..too engaged in the games we played tonight." He flipped through the pages of his book while he talked. "It's not that big of a deal of course, but one gets curious about someone that they are going to be living with for years."

"Naturally." Wilardo hazily muttered, half focusing on what Ashe was saying. "What, you had some things you were curious about or something? Shoot."

"...Are you always a wallflower?"

"Really? That's what you're curious about?"

"Well, a first impression doesn't always paint a full picture, I'm starting off with something simple."

"I guess, I don't really socialize unless it's necessary, or I'm that bored."

"You're talking to me right now, are you that bored?" Ashe inquired.

"Not really, I just don't feel like ignoring you. Since we are gonna be living together, you hating me would be annoying."

Ashe paused, the silence washing over the room as he thought of something else to ask without jumping into it too fast. The words on the page entering his brain then leaving as soon as he went onto the next sentence.

"Already out of questions? I mean I'm fine with that, you just seemed to have a lot more on your mind." The shorter man noticed the long pause, tiredness and curiosity keeping him from keeping his mouth shut.

"Um.." The teal-haired man really had something on his mind, but he didn't know how to ask it. Wilardo turned his gaze from the spot on the ceiling to Ashe's troubled expression.

"...I have no idea what you want to ask, but whatever it is, I probably won't be offended." The navy-haired man urged Ashe to ask, even though WIlardo didn't care too much.

Ashe set his book aside, and naturally lowered his voice, "...I-Is that a gun in your pocket?"

The question certainly caught Wilardo off-guard, as he stayed silent for a few moments before replying. He really hadn't thought Ashe was that observant, but before he gave an answer, he figured he could see a little into his thought process. "What gave you that idea?"

"W-Well naturally I wasn't sure! It's just, out of the corner of my eye I saw an odd outline, a-and decided to look closer! I could obviously be mistaken, a-a-a classic trick of the eye aha.." Ashe was extremely nervous, he didn't know what to do if he was right, or if he was wrong if Wilardo would think he was some super paranoid freak.

"..If it was a gun, what would you do?" Wilardo studied Ashe very closely. watching every nervous movement he made.

Well, that didn't make Ashe feel any better. The other basically confirming that it was in fact, a gun, and the piercing gaze that he had made the taller one squirm in his spot. He nervously gulped and fidgeted with his hands, "I-I don't know..? I mean I wouldn't go to the- the police if you're worried about that.." His voice sounded weak and small, barely loud enough for Wilardo to hear for a change.

Wilardo sighed and put his hands behind his head as he faced towards the ceiling again. "Relax, I'm not going to shoot you, it's for self-defense." He yawned and as he did the words he was thinking slipped out of his mouth like snakes. "It's not like you have room to talk, you're the one with a fucking switchblade." Fuck, he did not mean to say that.

About ten million more questions shot into Ashe's brain at that moment, but he sighed and put his book on the nightstand. "I..I think we are both pretty tired, we should.. go to bed."

He just dodged that. "Yeah..I agree...well.. goodnight then." Wilardo muttered those words of departure, but would spend awhile longer thinking about everything he learned about Ashe in the last hour.

Sorry, it's a bit short but I tried to make an interesting conversation so lets hope you guys think it is
