Chapter 4-Starting School
My alarm goes off giving me the fright of my life. I quickly sat up and turned it off, I then realised I'm going to school today. I'm actually excited about this, but no I'm not a nerd. I do my usual routine of having a shower, getting dressed, doing my hair and then doing my make-up. I look in the mirror, not bad for a uniform. I plugged my headphones into my phone, put on my school bag and ran downstairs. I quickly ate a piece of toast with jam on top.
"Bye mum, bye dad." I called out as I exited the house.
"Bye sweetie." I heard them both say just as I left the house.
I put my headphones on and started to walk down my street to the train station. First song that came on was 'caraphernelia' by pierce the veil. The train station was crowded all with people in MAGS uniform. I couldn't decide whether to go talk to them or hide at the back. That's when I saw them, the popular, the nerds and the emos. Popular people would stand upfront, nerds sit on the seat revising math and the emos stand at the back smoking. I went and stood at the back but not with the emos. The song changed to 'not the American average' by asking alexandria. It was really loud and an emo girl had heard it, she turned to me. She had a long black fringe that covered one of her eyes, dark purple lipstick, snakebite piercings, a skull tattooed on her arm.
"You got a good taste in music. My name's Alice." She said.
"Thanks. My name's Alexia." I replied quietly not wanting anyone else to see me with one of them.
"Nice name, you new to this school?" Alice asked.
"Thanks again and yeah." I said, still keeping my voice low.
"Well the train is here so we have to go, I might see you later." Alex said with a tiny smile and walked off.
Everyone got on the train and I was last on.
As soon as I stepped on the train I heard someone yell out "SLUT!" I acted as If nothing happened.
"Go show your tits to someone else!" I sat down at the back, next to Alice.
"What are they talking about?" Alice asked.
"I sent a picture of me topless to a boy a while ago and every school I move to everybody knows and I just feel like dying." I said to her as tears started to roll down my cheeks. She put her arms around me and hugged me tightly. She let go of me and said
"Guys we have a new member in our group, meet Alexia."
My heart stopped. I'm emo? Oh no, this can't happen. But then it hits me, I listen to emo music, My favourite colours are black and purple and I have black hair.
"Hi." I said quietly.
"Sup, I'm jake." A boy with long black hair covering one eye said.
"Hello, I'm Ethan." A different boy said just this one had a straight fringe covering both his eyes.
"I'm Chloe." Said a girl with long brunette hair and of course a fringe that covered one of her eyes.
"And as you know, I'm Alice. So yeah this is our group of well I guess you could say outcasts." She said with a smile.
We sat on the train talking about the most random things you could think of, emos aren't that bad. When we got to school the boys went to the hang out place and the girls took me to the bathroom.
"What are we doing here?" I asked kinda scared to find out.
"We're giving you your emo makeover." Alice and Chloe said at the same time.
