Spring Break

Callie's Pov:
FINALLY. I thought to myself, spring break. My life has been so hectic lately I think I've forgotten how to relax. The moms are allowing me Mari and Brandon to go to the Bahamas for spring break(Jesus is at. Boarding school). Robert is paying for me and Marianna, and Mike is paying for Brandon. It was really sweet of them but they all agreed that it was much too expensive with a new baby.

General Pov:
"OH MY GOD YOU GUYS CAN YOU BELIEVE WE ARE GOING TO THE BAHAMAS ALONE!" Marianna squealed as they walked through the airport.
Callie laughed and Brandon smiled before responding," Marianna shhhhh, you have to wait until we get to the hotel for screaming. " he joked.
"Oh please, like you two will party, Callie will probably just stay in the room and you'll just sit by the pool." She rolled her eyes before grinning mischievously " I however am going to party it up!"
After security they boarded the plane. Marianna was 14a, Brandon was 14b , and Callie was 14c. They all got comfortable and the plane took off. An hour into the flight Callie started to doze off. Her head slowly teetered down until it was resting on Brandon's shoulder . Marianna smirked at him. She had wondered how the two of them planned on staying in the same room as one another and being in their bathing suits around each other without feeling something. She looked at the smile on Brandon's face as Callie slept and she knew that this would be an interesting trip.
At the resort:
After checking in the trio walked to their rooms and plopped their stuff inside.
" okay it's 1:30 who wants to hit the beach?!" Marianna exclaimed.
Callie shook her head, " I think I'm going to explore a little"
Brandon replied," I'll come with you " this made Marianna chuckle
"Alright fine I'll go by myself. But you two keep it clean!" She laughed and ran out of the room.
Brandon and Callie looked at each other horrified.
"Um I'm going to change and then we can go" Callie said to Brandon.
He cleared his throat, "ya okay be too, I'll go in the washroom."
When Brandon came out of the washroom in his bathing suit and T-shirt and couldn't help but stare at her. Standing there in her bikini, Callie fumbled with the strings, "Brandon I'm sorry I know it's awkward but can you help me, I can't tie these up." She sighed, frustrated.
"Ha no problem" brandon tied up the strings carefully and then subconsciously ran his finger tips over her shoulder blades. Callie stiffened. No they can't do this, they promised moms.
Flashback*
"So loves we know you two have been very good lately with the whole brother sister thing but we want to make sure that this trip won't um, stir up any unresolved feelings." Stef cringed slightly. Lena looked at her wife, " we trust you guys but we know teenagers can get a little-"
"MOMS" callie and brandon said in unison.
The moms chucked and they all agreed that it would be okay.
Return to present*
"Thanks." Callie said quietly.
"Ya um no problem, do you want to get ice cream?" Brandon said trying to disregard his actions.
She smiled," absolutely lets go!" She slipped on her shorts and they left to go explore. As they walked through the resort they noticed the huge beach party happening. There in the middle of it all was Mariana and a guy dancing and laughing . The pair looked at each other and rolled their eyes.
"There is it!" Brandon said excitedly. Callie laughed. He was cute when he got excited, kind of like a five year old on Christmas. No no no Callie you can't think that. She brushed it off and they walked up to the ice cream stand.
" I'll have cookie dough and she will have vanilla." Brandon said with confidence. Callie looked at him, eyebrows raise, " you know what I want?"
He smiled proudly, " ya I remember from when we went out without moms knowing once you said chocolate was too much of an obvious choice." She smiled and looked up at him. He remembered that?
"Thanks B" she said when he handed her her cup.
"Of course cal, now where to first?" He said grabbing her hand and pulling her towards the beach.
They decided to go for a walk and talk, something they hadn't done in a while since they were still getting over one another.
" so what is going on in the life of Callie Quinn Jacob?" He asked taking a scoop of ice cream and plopping it in his mouth.
She sighed, " Nothing really it's just.." She stopped and looked at him .
" Cal come on what's wrong you know you can trust me."
"I know it's just I don't want to hurt your feelings." He looked at her and then gestured for her to continue," I love your family, our family and I want to be a part of it so badly but I feel,like Sophia needs me. Brandon I've been where she is right now, in completely different circumstances but the feeling, of hopelessness and just not wanting to be around. I had Jude to push me through until I got to the other side he needed me. But I feel like with Sophia, she doesn't think that anyone needs her enough. Brandon Jude has you guys now and I love you all but I don't know I feel like maybe I need to live with Robert and Jill and Sophia. I love them too." Callie was crying by this point her bottom lip quivering, and her body shivering with sobs. Brandon dropped his ice cream and engulfed her in a hug.
"Cal it's okay whatever you choose it will be okay. He said stroking her hair.
" you guys won't love me anymore." She let out in between sobs. Brandon's heart broke, she had been holding this in for so long.
" Callie nothing you say or do can make us not love you. It'll be hard ya but we've got your back no matter what. I want you to know that I will always be here for you cals you're my best friend, I love you." Tears were silently streaming down his face. Callie pulled back and brushed his hair out of his face, wiping his tears away. It was in that moment she knew. She made her desisions. The Fosters would always be her family but Brandon as hard as they tried would never be her brother. He was too special to let go of. He. Was the first boy that had looked at her for who she truly was and not just some trashy Foster girl.
"Brandon I love you too." She sighed pressing her forehead to his. They stood like that for a moment before looking at one another.
"Does this mean?" He whispered.
"Yah" she breathed before kissing him.
It was the day that changed the whole family's lives forever. The day that they finally got to be happy. And the day callie finally got to stop running.
