"y/n, emma's dead."

that's when your world almost fell apart. manjiro swore that he would protect people who's dearest to him. how did he let this happened?

you left the house and ran as fast as you could to get to the hospital. why didn't you come along with them? you wanted to punched yourself for being sick the whole day.

why does it have to be emma?

tears kept on flowing from your eyes making your vision a little blurry that you didn't realized that you're a crying mess. you tripped for so many times but you didn't care. it's just small wounds that can heal in few days.

the moment you arrived where emma is, that's when you broke down. you refuse to believe that this is the reality you're currently in. you pinched yourself hoping that you can wake up from this nightmare but it's no use. this is all real.

lifeless. emma's body is already cold as an ice that it sent shiver down your spine. you fell onto your knees, both hands covering your mouth to tone down your sob escaping from your mouth.

"i was the one who's close to her but i couldn't save her. i'm so sorry, y/n." takemichi spoke as tears streamed down his face.

you stood up from your knees, "where's mikey?"

there he was sitting quietly on one of the hospital chair. he didn't know what to do. he's definitely not in the right state of mind. emma died into his arms and the coldness of her body is still lingering into him.

"manjiro, you promised me." you spoke as you stared down at him.

mikey couldn't face you. he remained to stare down at the white tiles of the ground. all he felt is numbness from everything.

manjiro swore that he would protect his family from anything that could harm them but how come this shit happened? even if you wanted to get mad at him for not keeping his promise, you just can't put yourself into it.

"kisaki tetta is the one who's behind emma's death and i will be the one who'll take revenge for this." takemichi said breaking the silence between you and mikey.

"just why did this happened? why does it have to be emma?" you mumbled and leave to get some fresh air.

you went outside of the hospital and sat down on the pavement behind the building. this is all too much for you. the little sister who you grew to love ever since she was introduced to the family is already gone too soon.

you and emma even planned something out for the future. you're supposed to be one who'll organize the baby shower, be the coolest aunt for her and draken's children and be her hair and make up artist for her wedding day. you swore that you will always be with her in every paths she'll go through. all of it lost in an instant. death is inevitable but why this soon? when you've already accepted the fact that as long as you see emma and draken happy with their relationship then you're happy.

you wondered how draken would react to this. will he be okay?
