mattheo riddle the new kid, i thought he was kinda cute.. and hot- anyways. i've talked to him a few times. he's pretty clueless on love and affection. he's never had anything good growing up. he seems to himself, yet he's very observant. he tends to read and listen to music in a lot of his spare time. i should ask him to be my friend. my usual friends are theo nott,pansy,blaise and draco. i'm sure he'd love to have some friends. with our friend group a lot of people think we aren't nice. but we are quite fun.

i went to look for my group, but they were all in their dorms. i see mattheo sat on the sofa listening to music.
he sees me and smiles a little. i sit next to him as he pulls off his headphones.
"hey mattheo"
"uhm hey y/n" he sounds nervous
"i was wondering if you wanted to be friends? i haven't seen you around with anyone and you seem nice" i shoot a smile
"sure.. i've never had a friend before" he twiddles with him fingers, looking down
i give him a kiss on the cheek.
he looks confused
"what was that?"
i giggle. "affection,mattheo"
"it's weird."
"oh.sorry" i look down a little embarrassed

"do it again" he smiled at me.
i grin and kiss him on the cheek again,
"i guess affection isn't soooo bad. what else is there?"
he sounds like he wants to learn.

"well there's a lot of it really. there's hugs and cuddles-
"what's the difference? i thought those were the same"
"well..."
i explain to him the difference and he gets it. he just seems more. interested i guess.
"y/n?"
"yes mattheo?"
"could i- uhm possibly, only if you want to.. have a hug?"
"of course!" i smile.

we hug for a few seconds then he pulls back.
"i still don't understand the difference"
i sigh in laughter
"right so that was a hug.. let me show you a cuddle then" he blushes. he tried to cover it but it doesn't work. cutie...
i sit in his lap and cuddle into him. my legs both facing one way and my head in his chest. his arms slowly slither round my back. he gets more comfortable and his head buries deeply into my shoulder.... until his head moves back again?
"this will be better.. take your shoes off."
i feel intrigued so i take off my shoes. he lifts me up. he moves my leg around his waist and puts me back down
"arms" he speaks, my arms wrap around him and i'm hugging him like a koala. a leg on either side of his torso and arms round the top of his waist. head in his shoulder, he comfies up to me holding me tightly. one arm on my back as the other travels to my head, smoothing my hair slowly.

"this is nice. i like cuddles, especially this way of doing it"
"mhm. me too" i snuggle deeper into his shoulder. shutting my eyes,i was warm and comfy. he smoothed my hair as i lightly fall into a deep sleep.

mattheos pov:

"i wish i knew about cuddles before. they're comforting" i say, yet i have no answer. i look down to see that she's asleep in my arms. i check her pulse just in case anything bad happened, but she's okay. im not sure what to do. she looked peaceful, and pretty. im so excited that she is now my. friend.. i've never had one before. even if she doesn't know im happy, i am.

her friends walked in. they saw her and looked a bit confused. theo begins to say
"what's going on here?"
"she fell asleep, she asked me to be my friend and then she was showing me the affection stuff"
i hope they approve of me cuddling her, i wouldn't want them to dislike me.

"you know what? u guys would be cute together."
draco says. they all quickly agree. pansy pouts in awe
"what does that mean?" i ask,
"ohh, i mean you would be cute if you were a couple.. boyfriend girlfriend?" he explained
"you think? well i haven't known her for long i'm sure she wouldn't agree with that"
y/n shuffles a bit in her sleep, i rub her back while the others look at the both of us.
"you okay with her? we can put her to bed if you can't have her all night?" pansy asks
"i've got her don't worry about it."
they all smile and head back to bed. i stay with y/n in the same position for the rest of the night. i also fell asleep holding her. i still made sure she was safe though. i wouldn't want anyone hurting my new and only friend..
