You groaned as you were jarred from your sleep by your alarm. You would never be used to waking up early enough for school. Forcing your body to move, you rubbed your eyes and got to your feet. The night before, you'd decided to try to look nice for once. Not that you normally looked bad, you just never put that much effort into the way you looked for school. It had took you nearly an hour last night to convince yourself it wasn't because of your newfound crush on Ashton Irwin. Sadly, he wasn't even of the same social status as you were so you had no chance with him. He was the hot bad boy and you were just average. You weren't exactly at the bottom of the food chain but at the same time the top felt as far away as the sun did.

After showering quickly and dressing in a previously chosen outfit you felt more awake than earlier. Hopefully you wouldn't be falling asleep later in class because of your early awakening.

As you thundered down the stairs (who cares if you woke your lazy ass sister up) your mom looked up from the table where she was sitting with a book and her breakfast. Lately she'd been trying to be healthy with her eating habits so only fruit and a bit of natural peanut butter sat in front of her. She'd also been taking it out on you by not stocking the fridge with the usual goodies. "You're up early," she said, obviously surprised.

You shrugged skipping over to the fridge to see if you would be able to eat anything other than Cheerios for breakfast. Apparently not. Grabbing the milk from the fridge and getting the Cheerios from the cupboard you sat down at the table with her. "Yep, I wanted to look nice today."

Your mom raised her brow as she put a piece of apple into her mouth. "Anything going on that's special?"

Inwardly you froze, knowing the answer yet still in complete denial of the facts. Externally you shrugged again and said, "No reason! Just wanted to dress up a bit for once."

Your mom nodded, appearing to accept your explanation.

The two of you sat in comfortable silence other than the crunching sound of your chewing and the brief questions your mom asked. When you tipped your bowl up to drink your milk your mom rolled her eyes. "Manners, Y/N."

"Mom," you whined, "It's not like anyone's here!"

"I am."

You gave her a look and put your bowl and spoon in the sink. After you'd cleaned up after yourself you went back upstairs to brush your teeth and do your makeup.

By the time you'd finished your makeup you had only a few minutes to get there. Your sister always drove you but most of the time she was the one that was late. Although a year and a half older than you, she was a Senior like you. She was a super-senior because she'd flunked out of too many classes. Your sister was also kind of a bad-girl with her lip ring, dyed hair, and leather wardrobe. She also had a reputation of being lazy at school except for when she got in fights. Y/S/N was part of the same crowd as Ashton, whom you really didn't like at all ever in your life. Not even since third grade.

Just as you rushed down the stairs you heard your sister's car start outside. Knowing without a shadow of a doubt she wouldn't hesitate to leave you if you were too late, you quickened your pace. As you made it to the car, your sister leaned out the window. "Huh," she said, looking you up and down, "you look nice today."

You smiled at her complement as you slid into your seat. "Thanks bro."

She nodded and put the car in gear. "Any reason why?" She asked, glancing at you with a look on her face.

Licking your bottom lip, you shook your head. "Oh come on," she said. "I know about your little crush on Ash you know, you can just say it's because of him."
