•chapter one•

     Hunter walked the empty hallways grasping the key;little rascal in his hood so the tiny red bird could not be seen. Hunter was desperately trying to make sure no more titian's blood spilled out of the key but the more he grasped it tighter  the more he felt like it was spilling.

     Hunter came to a halt when he was right in front of the big doors of his uncles throne room. He took a deep breath before hesitantly knocking on the door. The doors opened to revel Belos sitting on his throne. "Ah there you are,"  the man started as hunter walked in kneeling a few steps away from the throne.

     "so, what excuse do you have?" Belos asked but it sound more like a growl, a growl from a beast who was just about to catch its pray.

     Hunter knew this was a question but something told him not to answer.

MISTAKE

     "Hunter." Belos snarled. The predator was about to pounce. Hunter knew it would. "I asked you something, Hunter. Answer.me."Belos said

     "I-.." Hunter started but then regretted it when his voice cracked. Hunter cleared his throat before specking again. " I apologize,uncle but I have found something that's.. useful." Hunter spoke almost to quiet but he finished his sentence this time.

     Hunter put out his hand that had the key in it. "The human apparently kept the key when she destroyed he portal the youngest blight had it.She... broke it and some of the Titans blood fell out but there's still som-."Hunter was cut of with his slight ramble when he felt Rascal rub against his neck.

   "is there something wrong Hunter?" His uncle snarled now walking towards him. "continue. i'm interested." he said standing right in front of Hunter.

  crap.  Hunter knew his uncle wasn't 'interested' unless he said something wrong and his uncle was giving him a chance to correct himself.

    "answer.me."  Belos said the threat clear in his voice. "Go on. there's still what?"  the mans voice echoed and boomed.

   Hunter swallowed hard. Then cleared his throat to make sure there was no sign of fright in his voice. "-there's still some Titans blood  in the key... emperor Belos."

  "hmm. well Kikmoras  mission was a failure." his uncle said;Hunter found his voice hard to read. 'Was he mad? no,no. his mad voice is way different than that.Wait is he proud? what if he more mad than he was last time, that shoulder scar got pretty sore. wait. or is he way more mad than he was before? what if it's as bad as the check scar..'Hunters mind raced he couldn't get it to stop. His mind was trying to answer one question:what was gonna happen?

  
      "Hunter." came a booming voice into his train of though and pulled him out of it. His Uncle had his hand on Hunters shoulder slightly squeezing. Hunter was still kneeling.But then something came that they didn't expect.

     chirp!

    f*ck. Hunter thought as Rascal sensed the mistake he made. 'Oh no-.' Rascal said with a panicked chirp.

    "Hunter? What was that?" belos said letting go of hunter shoulder and  backing up one step before marching back up to his throne.

     "I-.." Hunters vision was on the ground but it was blurry he couldn't move he was paralyzed with fear. 'no,no,no this cannot be happening he didn't just hear Rascal- did he? Oh crap he did. what do i do? say something Hunter!!' once again hunter lost his mind to spiraling.

     " stand.up" Belos's voice was enough of send trembles down Hunters back. Hunter did as he was told,and stood up surprised that he even moved. "come.here.....NOW." Hunter slowly made his way up the stairs and toward his uncles throne when he was about 4 steps away he halts.

   
      His uncle stood up walking towards him. He stoped one step away. Hunter was confused about his movement but he didn't dare to question it. "Hunter,pull down your hood and take off your mask." His uncle's voice this time almost sounded like a growl. 'this is it the predator  is attacking.'  Hunter thought. When Hunter failed to move his uncle's hand lifted slightly and turned into a vine.It reached for Hunter which flinched and the sudden movement.

       The vine hit hunter on his left side, sending him flying and tumbling across the room.Which also sent his mask flying to the other side of the room. Rascal was out and visible now hunter was laying down on his left side. He turned over because of his side pounding in pain. When he did so  he saw little rascal right in front of his face. He groaned and tried to get up. Which failed expectably.

     Belos signed "i knew you weren't strong enough for this. Every time i have given you a mission you have failed me one way or other. Yet i gave you special treatment,took you in,raised you. And now you betrayed it all for a price of wood."

 

      "GAURDS," Belos boomed suddenly guards came into the room and hunter wasn't too worried about his side hurting anymore. He quickly got up and Rascal went into staff mode; Hunter grabbed him and used him as support to stand. His hand was carefully put where his left side got hurt as hunter griped where he was hurt."SEIZE HIM HE HAS COMMITTED TREASON!" Belos said or rather shouted the demand pointing to Hunter. The guards surrounded him and hunter gave his uncle one last look of what couldn't be read before teleporting out of there. The look itself  looked like a face of betrayal,anger,sadness, and unbelief.

  Hunter teleported somewhere in the woods far away from everything he ever knew...
