chapter three

"Eda did you see that?" Luz asked the owl lady next to her.

" Yup.it looked like staff magic," Eda started
"But who would be out in the woods so late at night?" Lilith finished for her looking up from the book she was reading for just a second.

"Maybe we should check it out? What if we know them,and what if there hurt?" Amity suggested already getting ghost ready.

Eda signed heavily. "Fine, Lilith stay here with Hooty and King;And i will Go with them to check it out." She said lazily as she scribbled a few glighs down and Luz got some out of her pocket.As for Amity she got ghost to get in staff form which they were not happy about sense they were sleeping.

"Ok. fine with me." lilith said not looking up from her book."Be carful!" she shouted as they left out the door.

    They headed towards where the sound have been coming from. Luz leading the tiro as they search  the trees. Luz was finally able to see something or rather some one.

HUNTER

    Hunter immediately fell onto the ground once he was sure he was out of the emperors castle. Tears threatened to fall as  he digged  his nails into his fist.
Rascal was trying to calm him down not like it did any good.

     'f^ck, what am i gonna do now can't go back to the emperor,and not to mention i don't know where i am..' hunter thought as rascal in staff mode was supporting him and he looked around. Then it dawned on him how much his side hurt. He went to the nearest tree and leaned back on it.  And for the first time tonight he took his hand away from the sore spot. Only to see blood,Hunter would be lying if he said that he wasn't scared.

        Suddenly a twig snapped. This causes Hunter to flinch and begin to look around him. He put his hand back where there was now a circle of blood bleeding through his cloths. "Hello?, Show Yourself!" he said trying to sound more rough like the golden guard. 'Just because i'm kick out of the castle doesn't mean i can't use my golden guard voice to scare people off'' Hunter thought has he stopped searching for support in the tree and switched back to putting his weight on rascal. Planting his feet so his more in a fight stance.

"...Hunter?" a voice questioned before coming into view. The human. "Hunter? Is that you?" the human questioned her arms out like as if she was trying to settle a wild animal.She was slightly crouch down. Her face one of sympathy.

"Human?!" Hunter started his voice betraying him when he spoke and his voice cracked.

"Wait. I know that voice.." someone said behind the human said. "me too it sounds familiar." a different voice said.

The two voices in the back ground came forward and Hunters jaw went slack. Not only was the human here but the blight and the owl lady is also here. "Oh, bad but sad boy!" the owl lady said snapping her fingers. "that's the familiar annoying voice." she said looking down at him with a smirk.

He snarled at that. "my voice isn't annoying." he said tightening his grip on rascals staff. He glared at The owl lady "and i refuse to go by that nickname." he finished.

Amity cracked up at this. " It's true." she said between laughs before they died down. "Hmm so why are you in the woods right next to where we are"Amity said looking him up and down "seems suspicious to-." Amity stopped halfway threw her sentence. "i-is that..." She started looking like she had seen a ghost{get it} "b-.. blood.." She finished pointing at hunters side.

Hunters eyes widened when the blight saw his
bloody shirt. "ummm... N-Nope it's- um... the lighting" Hunter nervously said trying not to let them sense the lie. But.. something was.. different Hunter all of a sudden had a coughing fit. He finished after a few seconds but it wasn't caused by the damage done to his left side.. it was something else..

    "Hunter! Your not- i- It's not the lighting! Hunter are you sure it's nothing?" Luz said trying to step closer to him. Which Hunter just took a step back. Luz stoped then tried to step closer again,which Hunter just took another step back as a way of saying 'no closer than this.'

      Luz took a step back getting what he was silently saying. Eda was rather weirded out by the interaction. "Look kid i can tell it's not the lighting so," Eda began not wanting to finish. Eda groaned not liking where her own sentence was going. " How about you come back to the house.. and we can look at your..wound thing."

    Hunter tensed. "uhh.. I-." Hunter said not being able to put into words that he didn't want to go with them. Suddenly another coughing fit broke out. Causing hunter to bring the hand that wasn't griped to the staff to go up and fist-cover his mouth. The hand that was holding his side was the one he had moved..

       After his fit was done he had realized that his side wasn't held anymore.. His body shoke  and trembled before he passed out on the floor falling backwards.
"Welp. let's bring him to the house patch him up while he's out and.. figure out what happened." Eda said already marching to get him up.

     Amity,Luz,And Eda brang him back to the owl house where Lilith was..
