Jeongin found his alone time in his room invaded, Seungmin sitting at the end of his bed after tightly closing the door so they couldn't be overheard. Out of everyone else in the household, he was the most determined to get to the bottom of whatever he had seen. Not that he knew exactly what it was himself.
"Can you describe what you saw?" Seungmin asked, his expression serious. "I have a feeling that our plushies have something to do with this."
"Don't be stupid," Jeongin said, clutching Foxiny closer. "There's no way plushies could have caused that."
"Call me crazy, but PuppyM moved last night. I put him as well as Foxiny, Dwaekki, and Wolf Chan in the freezer and in the morning they were on the table," Seungmin stated, talking so fast that he was having a hard time keeping up. "Not to mention Felix hearing singing when no one was around. This all started happening when I bought the plushies."
"Let's not rush to conclusions. We've only had them for a day. If this continues past today, maybe we can talk." Jeongin found the logic in what Seungmin had said, but whoever or whatever was now sharing his body with him refused to let me acknowledge it.
Seungmin sighed, now visibly annoyed. "Fine. Can you at least try to draw or explain what you saw? I need to know what it looked like."
Jeongin hesitated, desperate to not have to imagine that horrible creature again. However, whatever thing was now in his body encouraged him to. The fog that clouded his vision had lifted, giving him a new perspective of the world. One where his guest was the ruler. He shuffled over to his desk, pulled out a pencil and paper and began to draw.
"I'll call you back when I'm done," Jeongin said coolly. "Oh, and you should probably check on Changbin. He's in his room."
~~~Freaked out by Jeongin's oddly specific suggestion, he went to Changbin's room, Hyunjin in tow. Hyunjin was the closest person to him at the time and believed what he said with minimal questions. Despite having experienced nothing weird himself, he noticed clear behavior changes in his friends.
From inside Changbin's room, they could hear him yelling at no one in particular, objects slamming against the door and wall. For the amount of noise he was making, it was startling that no one else noticed or bothered to try and intervene.
Seungmin knocked on the door before opening it and peeking his head inside. Changbin's desk lay overturned in the corner of the room, sheets of music that he had spent hours on laying ripped and crumpled on the floor. The black curtains that were normally draped over his window had been tossed across the room, other miscellaneous objects laying haphazardly on the floor.
Changbin took notice of them, his posture best described as animalistic. His pupils were dilated despite the brightness of the room, his chest heaving with every breath. It felt almost as if someone had taken Changbin away and replaced him with someone wild and unhinged.
"Calm down, it's us," Hyunjin soothed, stepping in with his hands up in surrender. It was clear that he was painfully aware that who they were looking at was no longer their friend. "We're not here to hurt you, just to help."
Dwaekki was the only thing left untouched by Changbin's rampage, his permanent sewed-on smile looking more smug than usual. Changbin lunged forward, grabbing Hyunjin by the neck and slamming him into the wall with the intent to kill.
Reacting quickly, Seungmin grabbed a letter opener from the pile of overturned office supplies on the floor. He grabbed Changbin by the hair, tilting his head back and putting the tip of the letter opener against his throat. It wasn't the best weapon for threatening someone but it was the best he could do at the moment.
"Let go of Hyunjin or I won't hesitate to stab you as many times as needed until you do," Seungmin threatened in a low, menacing voice that he didn't know he had. He didn't want to hurt Changbin, but he had no problem threatening to do so.
Changbin let go of Hyunjin who fell to the ground gasping for air and wiping spit away from the corner of his mouth. Where the hell was everyone else? How were they not hearing this? He felt a hand on the back of his head and spun around, driving the letter opener into their shoulder. The wound was deep enough to hurt, but not deep enough to cause permanent damage.
"Seungmin?" Changbin gasped, betrayal in his voice. Of course now was the time he came back to his senses.
"Before you blame me, I'll get your wound cleaned up and explain what happened."
~~~Jeongin shuffled into Chan's office in a daze, drawing in hand. He didn't remember drawing it, and didn't want to have to look at it any longer than necessary. Doing so would be reliving the horrors of the day a second time. For some odd reason, his mind was telling him that he needed to show the drawing to the others because Seungmin was busy dealing with Changbin. What did that mean?
Chan, Felix, and Jisung were huddled around the computer, listening to a demo of the song that Chan had been working on. As soon as he entered the room, Chan paused the music, directing his attention to the visitor.
"Are you feeling better?" Felix asked, glad that Jeongin had left his room for the first time in hours.
Ignoring Felix, he wordlessly handed the drawing to Chan. I don't want him to see this. Chan accepted the drawing, his face blanching when he saw the eerily realistic details of what he assumed was him.
"Is this what you saw?" Chan asked, his voice wavering. He was never one to put his personal feelings about something on display, but the fact that he was doing it now scared Jeongin.. Felix and Jisung tried to take a look at the drawing, but Chan yanked it away.
"Yes," Jeongin replied, feeling an odd sensation as if someone else was using his voice. "But I'm not the only one here who has."
