Its finally graduation day. I'm graduating! I'm finally joining the world I was meant to. The world I worked so hard to find. I stand in the bathroom fixing my cap and gown and look over myself once more. I know Harry is out there and I am a little nervous to see him. We haven't spoken since our meeting last week. I told him that I wanted time to look over everything and that's what he gave me. Time.

I stepped out of the bathroom and walked into the large group of people trying to point out my dad. He was supposed to be here soon. My mother said that she wouldn’t be able to make it. I of course brushed it off, because I couldn’t let her upset me. Not today. I felt a small tap on my shoulder and I turned around seeing my dad standing there. I smiled and wrapped my arms around his neck giving him a tight hug. “You’re here” I whispered

“Like I could miss my boy graduating?” He laughs and I link arms with him walking through the crowd. “Are you nervous?”

“Yes, but luckily I don’t have to give any speeches. Liam does” I’m very excited to listen to Liam’s speech. He’s been working on it for ages now and he of course would not let me listen to it. Until today. “I got you a seat next to Liam’s parents.”

“Alright, break a leg up there” I shake my head at his choice of words. I walk to my seat and my eyes slowly drift to my right and I see him. Standing there in a grey suit with that silk tie hanging from around his neck. He didn’t. Who am I kidding, of course he did. I walk to my seat and sit down starting a conversation with someone sitting down next to me. I look over my shoulder spotting my dad and he shoots me the thumbs up. I nod towards him and look for Zayn. I have yet to see him. He’s supposed to be here for Liam and I. I shrug and turn back around and the ceremony starts.

“Good morning graduates…” Liam starts. I can hear Liam’s parents in the back ground clapping for him and I smile clapping as well. “I would like to personally congratulate all of you for making it this far. For fighting the good fight. Today we become warriors, warriors against the current of the world that will attack us all at some point. We have now joined the world that our parents, and of course ourselves have worked so hard to join. It’s our time to become those people that we used to look up to. The firefighters, the police officers, the teachers, the army men and women. The people we wished we could be, it’s our time now. Our time to become those people. Follow your passion, stay true to yourself, never follow someone else’s path unless you’re lost and you see a path then by all means you should follow that. Take action. Every story you’ve ever connected with, every leader you’ve admired, every puny little thing that you’ve ever accomplished is the result of taking action. You have a choice. You can either be a passive victim of circumstance or you can be the active here of your own life.Thank you” Liam nods and the room erupts with claps, hoots and hollers.

I smile watching as Liam walks off the stage and stands next to Harry. Liam looks over at me and I blow him a small kiss which he catches sliding it into his pocket. I laugh to myself and watch as Harry soon takes the stage. I can hear the girls, and a few boys swooning over him as he steps onto the stage fixing that damned tie. I look ahead of me seeing two girls whispering about just how cute and attractive Harry is and I lean in close so they both can hear me.

“I hear he’s gay” I can’t help but giggle watching them both deflate in their seat.

Harry stands behind the podium and look out at the crowd and I finally let my eyes connect with his. “I am very impressed with the graduates coming from this school. I am a large advocate of this school, and I am pleased to be handing over diplomas to our future. I want you all, to be sure to make the right choices in life so that your struggles never weigh you down. So that they never leave you hungry at night, I to know what it’s like to go to sleep hungry, and I do not wish it on any of you. I again congratulate you for making it this far in your lives, and it is an honor to be here today with you. Thank you” He nods towards the crowd and walks to the side of the stage. He knows what it’s like to go to sleep hungry? I can only imagine that, that would be the reason why he hates wasted food.
