Sally and Paul died in a fire while Percy was at camp.
Tony finds out that he has a long lost sister and a nephew. Tony takes in his poor nephew.

"How do you know?" Percy asked, shaking.
"We have a god on the team and your asking how I know who you are oh chosen one?" Tony said sarcastically.
"Well I thought mortals weren't supposed to know what demigod were, only that we existed in stories."
"And yet here you stand," Tony pauses, "Or sit."
"What do you want with me and Annabeth? What are you going to do to us?"
"Calm down Romeo, I'm not going to hurt Juliette. I'm not a monster."
"Debatable" I say as I write, "are we just not going to talk about Civil War or did that just not happen."
"What do you want then?" Percy asked.
"To give you a good home."
"Huh?"
"I've been thinking about it and realized that you're me. Orphaned by your parents. The only thing different about us is I didn't have a me. You do."
Percy gave a very confused face but Tony continued. "So let me help you. Let me give you a place to go to sleep and eat, where you can live until you think you need to leave."
"I have a perfect place to sleep thank you very much."
"Yeah at that camp you live at. Thor told me about that too. How bout an apartment near you school? You don't have to live here with me and the crazy people I work with."
"Any what if I say yes?"
"Then nothing. Well actually not nothing. I'll help paying for college, your going to college right?" Tony sidetracked.
"Yeah, my mom's wish."
"Good, so I'll help you pay for your college. And whatever else you need, your my ward now and I'll treat you how I wanted to be treated after my parents died. How bout that?"
"Um, thank you?"
"It's a kind gesture, you can say thanks without questioning it."
"Yeah, thanks, for this."
"Just, humor me this. What happened when that cheerleader came in, you didn't call anyone or anything. You simply googled a fanfic named Jones by ScarsOfReading . What was that all about?"
"A shameless plug Tony," screen pushes the lovely scene to a writer with a hurt back listening to the bridgeton musical, "that's what it was."
"So fun story," Percy pushed the writer out to focus the story back on him and Tony, "I can sort of draw monsters towards me from using internet connected devices."
"Oh, I see."
"Sorry about the mess she made."
"Oh don't worry, it was only a few thousand dollars."
Percy's eyes widened at the amount of money he causally told Percy not to worry about. Tony saw his eyes and waved it off.
"So, we have ourselves a deal?"
"Sure... Wait where's Annabeth?"
"Your girlfriend is actually in you apartment that I bought you."
"You bought me an apartment even though you had no idea I would say yes?"
"Yeah, but I figured you would say yes, cause it's the smarter move."
"Well, you haven't met me. I make stupid decisions on the daily."
"Me."
"Figured, you're a kid and you are allowed to make mistakes and learn from them. You don't need a world to save held over your head."
After a few minutes of silence Tony stood, patting Percy's leg. "Let's get this show on the road, you have school tomorrow."
"Oh gods," Percy groaned. Tony laughed and directed Percy to his new home. All well thinking that this would all be worth it. It will be the best decision for the boy he called his nephew.
