❝ I will fight for you, I will protect you. No matter what, I will always be by your side. ❞
—
It's been 3 weeks.
Your life had been tough. Now that Yoongi wasn't by your side, your symptoms have become worse. Although Taehyung and Jimin was always checking on you, looking after you like you were some kid with tantrums.
For some reason, these days you've been so adamant to just stay at home and lock yourself in your room. While going to class, Tae had to stop you from getting into trouble with the bullies, from stealing some chips from the cafeteria, from getting into an argument with some girl in the classroom.
Every other minute you'd feel edgy, Taehyung would hold your hand in his and say, "Calm down, no one's gonna hurt you." You would calm down for a bit but it just wouldn't stop you from doing things.
And in the span of three weeks, Jungkook had also recovered but his legs were too injured for it to recover as fast as his body. He had been practicing himself to use the wheelchair for days.
Sometimes he'd cry in frustration of not being able to use his legs. Sometimes he'd blame himself but sometimes you'd go and stop him before he could even jump down from the rooftop.
He calmed down anyway after you sang his favorite song to sleep. You swore to god, this kid can't sleep if you won't sing that song. You don't even know the title and you've never heard of it before.
But you heard Jungkook sing it sometimes and you just got the gist of it.
Yours and Taehyung's relationship was just a hit basic. Since you two were just bratty teens, you both really didn't know how to handle something like this but you just didn't want to stay single.
Also maybe to keep Yoongi away, if ever you meet again. Well, maybe you wouldn't meet again, he doesn't even attend the school you're at but who knows.
An uncomfortable whimper was what took you out of your trance.
Jungkook POV
Sounds of the piano keys melody filled the empty and abandoned classroom. Yoongi hyung was sitting on the chair as I sat beside him and watched his slender fingers tap on the keys.
"How do you do this hyung?" I asked as he focused on the piano, fingers flowing smoothly on the shiny ivory keys. Silently and calmly, he spoke, "You just have to listen."
I blinked. I listened.
I closed my eyes.
His music was comforting. It felt like it was speaking to us. Telling us countless stories, emotions, and thoughts.
My head fell on his shoulder as I kept my eyes closed, my hand neatly placed on my lap as I took the music in. Remembering every single note and melody it gave.
