At the cafe, the first floor of the agency...
Himeko, Kiana, Atsushi, and Kyouka is sitting in the cafe, and Atsushi is explaining how he got into the agency to Himeko, who was absent during the whole event and wanted to hear about the details more. Himeko and Kiana is sitting across Atsushi and Kyouka, who was looking at the menu.
"You fought on a whale-airship thingy?" Kiana asked Atsushi excitedly
"Well, yeah.." Atsushi carefully explained, a bit nervous with Kiana's enthusiasm
"HIMEKO!! When can i go fight on an airship!! I wanna do it too!!"
"The Hyperion isn't a place you can fight at all you want! If you want to fight, go back to St. Freya!" Himeko said
"No faiirrrrr! I wanna do what sushi did too!" Kiana sighed
"It's Atsushi..."
"Anyways, about this tiger ability of yours... You said you discovered it like... A few weeks ago?"
"Huh? Yeah.. I did. I probably won't discover it and continue to teror the townsfolk if I didn't meet Dazai back then.."
"Interesting.. does this mean that I will also discover my ability at 18, Homieko?"
"I can't guarantee that you will, but you're a strong kid, so you might discover it soon. Wait what did you just call me-"
"Then it's settled! I will find my ability no matter what!" Kiana declared pridefully
"What if you don't have an ability?" Kyouka asked
"I- stop ruining my dreams!" Kiana looked visibly dejected by the thought alone
"Anyways, Kiana, isn't it time for you to introduce yourself?" Himeko said, emphasizing the 'you'
"Uh.. didn't I already did earlier?"
"...Idiotka.." Himeko facepalmed "I mean that you explain more other than your name.."
"Ohh... well, as you can see, I'm from the Kaslana family, and the strongest at that!"
"You spelled weakest wrong." Himeko joked
"S-shut up! Anyways well.. uh... What do i say?" Kiana asked while Himeko facepalmed again.
"Just say where you're from, your affiliation, et cetera..."
"Oh! Uh, I'm a Valkyrie of Schicksal!"
"What's that?" Kyouka asked
"I'll explain." Himeko cuts in and started to explain it. "Other than working in the Armed Detective Agency, I also worked for the western European organization, also known as Schicksal. This organization is lead by the Overseer, Kallen Kaslana, also Kiana's aunt. Anti-Entropy, formerly an enemy of Schicksal, is lead by Welt Yang. Although retired, we still haven't know who's the current sovereign of the Anti-Entropy. And now for the World Serpent-" Himeko was suddenly cut of by Kiana
"Oh oh! Uncle Kevin rules that one! And Mei is in it too! It used to be a bad guy organization, but with the death of Overseer Otto, we are now in good terms!"
"Kiana. Please don't interrupt me so fast."
"Hehe, sorry."
"As I was saying, Kiana is also a member of the Schicksal organization. But since she's too young to actually work in it, she enrolled in a special highschool funded by Schicksal, St. Freya High, who's also lead by the late Otto's granddaughter, Theresa Apocalypse." Himeko finished
"I explained this long, so go on and finish your introduction."
Kiana cleared her throat and started to talk
"I also have another 2 friends, their names are Raiden Mei and Bronya Zaychik! Mei joined the World Serpent organization, and Bronya joined the Anti-Entropy! I was going to join Schicksal too, but I kept failing the exam and had to restart it..."
"You should've studied more then." Himeko said as she sipped her tea and Kiana growled at her.
"I wonder how these two even get along.." Atsushi sweatdropped as he saw their exchange.
"Anyways, Schicksal also has these Valkyrie ranks to determine the power of each member. I'm an S rank Valkyrie, while Kiana here is an B rank valkyrie, the lowest rank." Himeko explained
"This is really confusing.." Atsushi said as Kyouka nodded
"Well we don't blame you, the system is really confusing, even right now I still don't get it despite being a teacher there." Himeko agreed along
"This is booooriingggg! I wanna fight! I want to!" Kiana slumped
"You could've stayed back at Schicksal and fight all you want there, but you chose to follow me here. So deal with it." Himeko said as she took another sip from her drink.
"Ugh... So.. how is it for you guys, Atsushi?"
"Eh?"
"I mean.. from what I've heard.. you gotta deal with a suicide bandage wasting maniac.. getting your legs chopped off and had to go through some painful operations to actually heal... And this girl over here is a wanted assassin.. ain't it?" Kiana said with a concerned face
"How did you-"
"Himeko keep complaining about it when she's drunk so I can't help but be curious."
"Hey! Stop exposing me!"
"Oh. And uh can I ask 1 more question for you, Himeko-san?"
"Ask away."
"What's your ability?"
"... Hmm. Well, my ability name is "The Vermillion Knight". It's an uncontrollable flame ability. And despite being an official member of the agency, I still couldn't control it. The only way I could control it is through this gem." Himeko said as she pointed at her necklace.
"This is the "Gem of Haste", one of the many cores, named "Honkai cores". The former overseer, Otto, is the one who came up with this idea for people who couldn't control their ability. 7 of them were made into powerful weapons, 3 of them were under control, and tons more went missing. And based on the Schicksal data, some of it were located right here in Yokohama, which I was sent back to investigate."
"Woah.." Atsushi admired the technology Schicksal had.
"One of the cores is the "Gem of Serenity", that wields void powers, and is currently the most dangerous core ever made. A few weeks after the creation, and the whole Siberia forest were destroyed. And the worst part? It's one of the cores located here." Himeko sighed.
"That's bad news." Kyouka commented and continued on her food (sorry Kyouka, i love you but i don't know how to involve you into this convo ;-;)
"Which is exactly why the Schicksal overseer sent us here!" Kiana proudly declared
"Correction, I'm the one who was sent here, and you're just tagging along."
"Wh- that's not true!" Kiana quickly turned away from embarrassment and pouted, which earned a little laugh from Himeko
"Alright alright. We need to go back to my apartment for some check up and cleaning. It's been months, i think it might be real dirty now."
"Ew yuck! That's disgusting, Miss Himeko!"
"Well we better go now. Take care you guys!" Himeko said as she paid for the food and walked out from the cafe.
