CHAPTER FIVE

The next day she was awakened by Snape rather early. "Put these on after you have taken a bath. You can't go like that in public." He looked at her with a disgusted face while he handed her a pair of regular jeans and a sweater." Jinx stared at the clothing in Snape's hands before she carefully took them. Not knowing if this was some kind of trick.

Snape got impatient by the girls speed and grabbed her arm harder than necessary and dragged her towards the bathroom. Jinx winced in pain and her leg hurt when she had to put weight on it not to stumble.

He pushed her inside the medium sized bathroom and closed the door behind her. He didn't have all day for her hesitations. Jinx carefully slid down into the hot water with small bubbles in. She had never been aloud this kind of comfort and she couldn't remember the last time she had taken a bath. She closed her eyes and dozed off, but was brought back to reality by Snape's growling.

"Hurry up!" He shouted while he hammered at the door. It made Jinx jump out of the bath tub and dress in a hurry. Fortunately she hadn't gotten any water on her wounded leg so she didn't need to change the bandage. It was strange though because it healed unremarkable fast.

"Hold on to my arm and whatever you do don't let go." He sneered. Jinx didn't argue, she grabbed his extended hand and suddenly the room began to spin. Things became blurry and it felt like her stomach were turned inside out. As fast as the grown had disappeared it came back. She fell to the grown and before she knew it her stomach wouldn't hold itself anymore. She really tried to hold her vomiting, but found herself on her knees, puking on Snape's shoes.

It came a small sneering sound from Snape's throat. She swallowed hard and looked up at the tall dark headed figure scowling down at her. He grabbed her arm and yanked her up from the grown before he pulled out his wand and muttered some words. To Jinx disbelief the vomit disappeared.

Snape didn't say a word to her as he dragged her around in Diagon Alley. Using her scholarship to pay for her equipment. She was just not worth the words, he was way too angry. He knew if he spoke it would only cause a bigger scene than what she had already made it.

Jinx was stumbling behind him and fell a couple of times, but Snape's iron grip on her arm prevented her from hitting the grown.

Half threw the shopping she couldn't bare it anymore. "Sir please let go?" She begged. Snape didn't reply. "You are hurting me." She whined. Snape didn't let go, but stopped and glared at her.

"I'll do whatever I want and I don't want any more whining, is that clear?" He spat. Jinx nodded quickly several times, terrified of how he looked at her. Snape turned on his heel and continued on dragging her around until they were finished shopping.

When they got back to the place she began to call home, Snape decided on apparating outside his house. Simply because of the reason the second they touched the grown Jinx went down on her knees and puked what leftovers of her breakfast. Careful not to stand near her as she did, he walked inside the house.

When she was finished being sick from the horrible way of travelling she made her way to Snape's door step and knocked three times. She waited a couple of seconds before Snape opened with a smirk plastered on his face. His head barely outside the door and the door not open enough to let her in.

"Are you done?" He sneered, his scowl growing bigger. "Yes Sir." She mumbled in reply, having her head down. Snape sighed and opened the door for her. "The house elf can make you dinner, don't disturb me." He growled as he turned his back on her and walked away. His bat figure disappearing into the dark.

"What is a house elf?" She shouted behind him, but Snape didn't reply. Jinx shrugged and walked to the kitchen. Her stomach was rumbling, indicating she was hungry. She sat down at the kitchen and began tapping her fingers in the mahogany table.

Suddenly a small figure appeared in the corner of her eye and before she knew it she was on the floor and the small figure was biting its sharp teeth into her already wounded leg.

She let out a laud scream as the pain hit her body. Snape burst into the room in a matter of seconds. "What?" He growled, but the sight of Jinx explained it all.

"Get off her." He ordered and the small creature did as he was told. Jinx backed away and crawled up against the wall. Her bandage was now bloody from the bite she had gotten.

"But master, the girl she is a mud-blood. She was steeling." The elf stated with a squeak. "Leave." Snape ordered losing his patience.

He then eyed Jinx for a second, deciding if her injuries were fatal or not, but realizing she had been lucky he walked out of there. Leaving a panting Jinx all alone. Severus Snape had more important things to do than to take care of a sobbing girl.
