Enemies To Lovers

Chapter 1

Asuna was staring at her paper sheet containing midterm results for class. In her mind, it could not be more different, even if she tried. She shared a class with her mortal enemy Kazuto Kirigaya. She wonders how her enemy did had gotten a score above hers.

"Looks like I beat your number one student," a voice comes behind her, she doesn't need to know who that is. He sounded cocky. That tone and voice sounded just like him.

"Congratulations," she says through gritted teeth and watches as his smirks widens. "You did enlighten me. But I thought you were too busy partying almost every day."

"Heh, you don't know me that much, Sweetheart," he winks and she's sure that her face is as red as a tomato at this point.

"Stop. Calling. Me. That," she's seething with rage, but he seems to be having the time of as he gazes down at her with amusement.

"Then stop acting like one," he answers while smirking.

He has always comeback at the tip of his tongue and its starting to frustrate her to an extent she didn't even know was possible. She even starts to wonder how did he get a higher score than hers.

"You know what? I don't have time to have some arguments with you," she turns on her heel, intent on getting as far away from him.

"Wait. You just got here, Sweetheart. What's the hurry?" he asks grabbing her arm.

"Kirigaya! I swear to God if you don't let me go this instant! I will-" she blurted trying to let go. But he cuts her off.

"Will what?"

"Dammit, just let me go!" she pulls away her arm from his grasp. She huffs and finally walks away from him, ignoring his chuckle as it follows her down the corridor.

*At the cafeteria*

"You know, you shouldn't really let Kirigaya get to you so much. He keeps teasing you like almost every day, and you make it too easy." Alice says sitting next to Asuna at the table.

"That's too easy for you to say that. I'm the one getting bullied," Asuna huffs as she looks at her biology textbook. "Alice, he's always coming after with his stupid jokes and even with this stupid nicknames. It's so goddamn frustrating!"

Alice almost chokes on orange juice, patting her chest hard to calm her down her coughing fit. When her breathing finally steadies, she looks at Asuna with wide eyes full of mirth.

"...what?" Asuna says, closing her biology textbook "What is it?"

"I think I should ask him to teach me some of his ways. He's always teasing you," the blonde girl says laughing softly, before finishing her croissant.

Asuna let out a displeased tone through her nose. "Shut up, I hate him," she says putting her textbook in her bag, turning on the table once again. She started eating her lunch.

"Sure, you do." Her best friend says laughing softly. "Sooner or later, you might fall in love with your enemy" she says keeps teasing her.

"Alice... shut up."

*At gymnasium*

Alice and Asuna was sitting at the gymnasium bench. Asuna is trying to finish her homework in history, but she can't keep her eyes off on Kazuto's demonstrating skill as he plays volleyball. she stares quietly while others admire him.

"Asuna, are you done with your homework?" the blonde girl asks, as she keeps tapping her pen on the textbook. And she finally noticed that her best friend is staring at Kazuto "Hey! I see you staring at him!"

"Huh, Uhm, err," Asuna stuttered, and she looks back on her textbook trying to get back on her homework "It's not like that, Alice!"

"Ehh? Cause you're staring him too much," her best friend grins and starts to tease Asuna again like what she did earlier at the cafeteria.

"Shut up, I still hate him." Asuna says, with a displeased tone trying to focus on her homework.

Alice gets back finishing her homework, while Asuna stares at Kazuto once again and then she saw him falls and she runs to him.

"Kirigaya!" Asuna blurted, rushing to Kazuto's side and then he looks at her in shock.

"A-Asuna? He asks in confusion touching his knee with his both hands.

"A-Are you alright?" she asks, worriedly as she kneels in front of him.

"Y-yeah, I think I am," Kazuto gave her a small nod, and then Eugeo helped him to stand "Thanks, Eu-kun."

"What are you doing inside the court, Yuuki-san?" The blonde boy asks in a serious tone "You didn't help him to get up."

"Oh, uh nothing. Sorry." Asuna says softly and she goes back to the gymnasium bench.

"Hmm, someone is worried," Alice says with a teasing tone, and she closes her textbook. "You just rushed to him if he's okay, but you didn't help him to stand up. You just-"

"D-don't say a word." Asuna said, with irritating tone grabbing her things and left with Alice.

*At school hallway*

"What's wrong, Asuna?" the blonde girl asks opening her locker next to Asuna. "Did something happen inside the court?"

"Ugh, that blonde guy." Asuna retorted, putting her textbooks on the locker. "I was about to help Kazuto- but he suddenly came up and got angry at me."

"You're talking about Eugeo Kurayama?" Alice asks while unzipping her bag.

"I don't care who he is, he's really irritating." Asuna shrugged, and she slams her locker door loudly.

"Hey, calm down," her best friend says, and closes her locker gently. "Why don't we just go home and have a group study?"

"That's the plan." Asuna let out a small sigh, and she grab her bag and left with Alice "I'll be the one makes dinner tonight."

"Sounds good. I've missed spending time with you." Alice says picking up her bag and left the school hallway.

Asuna and Alice returns to their apartment. After they eat dinner, Alice was doing her homework in chemistry. Asuna on the other hand, she is making her report for the student council. She received a text message.

*Phone ding*
