The Locket Conversation

Narrator POV

As the four laughed, Harry became serious.

"Ok guys. So I think we that should ask Kreature about the locket."

Three 'sure's was the reply.

"Kreature!" Harry called out. A loud crack filled the room.

"Yes master? Or should say some-" Kreature was cut off as Harry spoke.

"Kreature! Do NOT call Hermione a mudblood."

"Yes master, friend of-"

"Do you recognize this locket?" Harry asked as he held out a green locket with a snake on it.

"Why do you have master Regulus's locket?" Kreacher narrowed his eyes then broke down in sobs.

"M-master Regulus! S-so young and so c-carefree to be s-sacerficed! I f-failed in protecting i-it! I-I" Kreature was cut off as he grabbed a stick and proceeds to beat himself up with it.

"Wha-?" Percy stared, dumbfounded.

"I order you to stop!" Harry shouted. The elf froze with tears pouring out of his eyes.

"Where's the locket?" Harry asked in a nicer voice.

"H-he stole it, sir. Mundungus stole my master's treasures." Kreature sobbed again.

"How do you know?" Harry questioned.

"I saw him, that traitor, grabbing handful of my master's things. I tried to stop him, but he ran away. Gone, gone are my master's stuff." Kreature cried as he ran towards Percy, throwing himself into Percy's arms.

"Ooookay." Percy gulped, seeming uncomfortable. Not that anyone blames him.

"Huh." Ron snorted.

"How about this, Kreature? You can have the locket." Harry sugguested.

"R-really?" Kreature asked hopefully.

"We don't need it anymore. It's meaningless to us anyways. It will probably be a treasure to you." Harry smiled.

"Thank you, Master Harry!" Kreature squealed.

" No problem."

Harry, Ron, Hermione, and Percy went downstairs. Kreature went to the kitchen to make them some onion soup.

It is delicous. They drank the soup along with some French toast and jam. It was quite the first day. Tomorrow, Harry, Ron, and Hermione will talk to Percy about their quest.
