Percy POV
It's exactly one month away from the Giant War. I was just about to propose to Annabeth when- "H-hey Perce! Whatcha- o-oh."
It was Leo.
I have have a heart to kill him right there.
I finally built up the courage to propose and he washed them away as if they were sand. "Hey Leo!" Annabeth greeted. "Hey Annabeth! Perce, Chiron needs you at the Big House." He wheezed. I guess he ran all the way here. "'K." I said as I said bye to Annabeth and ran towards the Big House."Percy, m'boy!" Chiron greeted. "Hi Chiron! So what do you want? I swear it wasn't me who set the Big House's phone's ringtone into 'O'McDonald'." I explained but Chiron raised an eyebrow and cut me off. "Actually, I was going to ask if you want to go visit your mom right now. We'll discuss the ringtone later". 'Oh' was all I can say. I really do miss my mom but I just- never mind. I'm just scared to tell about my quest.
"Ummm...." I muttered. "Percy. You need to see her someday. I'm not trying to kick you out, but she's really worried about you." Chiron said sternly. I noticed how he didn't say 'probably'. So that means my mom contacted Chiron when I was gone. "Ok." I said. I didn't want my mom to worry about me too much.I sprint towards Annabeth. "Annie, I need to tell you something." I started. Annabeth looked worried.
"Yeah?"
"We'll, I need to assure my mom that I'm alive..."
"And?"
"I need to go home for a few days."
"Oh."
There was a awkward pause.
"Percy, it's your mom, Percy. Go to her. Tell her." My Wise Girl said. I smiled. Annabeth's the best.
"Can you come?" I pleaded. "I'm sorry Percy, but my dad asked me to go and help find my lost cousin." Annabeth explained.
"Oh. Well, I'll try to IM you as much as possible."
"Ok. And don't you dare to to get into trouble without me."
"Can't promise you!"
We kissed and left camp. We didn't really need to pack up. Since half of the camp was destroyed, our stuff went along with it. How my mom managed to contact Chiron is a mystery to me.
